Just heard this the other day and kinda blew my mind. this chick was saying (no pics. I wish, she's pretty cute) that if it was legalized etc it would just turn into giant agribusiness with big corps with giant warehouses taking over from the smallish growers we have now. I thought maybe there could be rules on size but that wouldn't stop them from opening many multiple spots. I would like the "can't get in troubhle" aspect, but as it is it's pretty hard to get busted for weed where I live anywais so idk. thoughts?

Link?

By what measurement?
-
I have no scientific evidence. I just say that it has.
Do you want this to happen to your weed? -
Nope.
-
For it to become cheaper with more varieties available? Yes.

Exactly. Beer and wine or produced by big business. So what? Has the quality gone down? The idea that someone knows how the market will react when freed from government force is what causes people to think they can use government force to get the market to do what they want. -
As long as you can make it for your personal use, like wine, than fine.
As for OP's point. That's another reason it should be decriminalized instead of made legal. -
going to jail for weed is retarded.
-
And? Just means we'd finally be getting fair value for what we pay for. As opposed to now when most of the cost in buying weed is the built in cost that producers have in evading the feds.

I don't even wanna know how much money is saved if the war on drugs somehow ended. Going to jail for weed is a waste of time, a waste of money, and a stain on your record.
-
okay... you have a point... I am just concerned about the taxation and quality.

it's not a war on drugs... its a war on personal freedom.Originally Posted by TheSteve

Trust me I agree 100%
-
No. /thread

No tax is fine with me and you should be able to buy or grow whatever quality you want.
-
Realistically how long should it take before weed gets regulated? Do we need a new president to make this happen or can every state just make its own laws until the government caves in?
-
well hell.. if thems the rules... I'm in.
-
Weed needs to be deregulated. It is already regulated about as strictly as you can get.
-
threads like these have the potential to make OT suck for days on end

yeah deregulated my bad. I'm asking because having people from cali brag about how easy it is to be a smoker without getting in trouble is pretty tilting cause I'm in florida and if you get caught with any amount of weed at all, you're fucked. I learned the hard way with literally under a gram. Cost me money, court fees, had to go to a 6 week drug program called aim target and it was just overall a shitty spot to be in.

This is so incredibly stupid, Norcal.
Lol @ wanting to not legalize it all just in case some big weed companies would exist if it got legalized.
LOL.
Really? THAT is the new reason why it shouldn't be legalized? What the ultrafuck...
The negatives of weed being illegal outweigh any positives of there not being big weed agri businesses sooooo massively, this is shit is such a horrible joke of a pro-outlaw argument.
In states that aren't as weed-friendly as California, people are actually ending up in jail for weed. In some cases long ass jail/prison if they were on probation/parole etc and it was their strike against them or some shit. How insanely retarded is that. Weed for fuck's sake. Honestly, stop and think for a second how incredibly hardcorishly you would be socking yourself in the face right now, if you found yourself in a prison, getting assraped by giant evil badguys who were in there for actual crimes on a daily basis, upon realizing that you actually tried to argue in favor of weed being illegal, which you were now idiotically in jail for, all because you were afraid of some big businesses coming out of the legalization (in addition to the lots of small more quality-based higher end micro-brew-equivalent weed companies that would obv almost certainly still exist regardless in addition to the major companies, just like with beer the way there are still great high end small-scale micro-brew companies in addition to major beer companies etc.
Fuck this shit.
Plz metaphorically/figuratively punch that stupid bitch in the ovaries immed next time you see her, she is being extremely fucked up imo. And also plz punch yourself for even halfway thinking about possibly agreeing with her. Wtf Norcal, you're better than this.
::punches some babies:: (plz note that it's all your fault that these babies just got punched, Norcal. Nice going.)
