  1. I was just trying to check my facebook and when I go to the site I get auto re-directed to www.myspace.com, this just started happening out of nowhere.

It only happens with this site and my buddy told me it wasn't doing this on his computer.

Is this some kind of virus? Is this happening for anyone else?
  2. Should of used protection for your computer.

Pretty much have to wipe your computer for viruses like this one. 99% chance there is a trojan and a different downloader virus. These actually get worse and worse, because it will link you to other sites with viruses. Though I have heard one do that before. Usually the virus is intended to send you to sites that people can make money off of, but I doubt myspace put out a virus.
  6. Yea one of my friends had something like this where he couldn't go to anywhere on the web without it linking him to some adverts or shit like that but it's strange that it only sends me from fb to myspace.

Do you think I can antivir fix this or am I gonna have to re format the hd for sure?

  7. Check your hosts file (open in notepad), c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Make sure there isn't an entry for facebook, something like

    96.6.121.17 www.facebook.com

If there is, delete that line and save the file.
  8. LMAO, myspace is getting desperate.
  9. You could try to remove it, but unless you know the exact virus it is pretty much impossible and your virus program would have stopped it to begin with if you were protected from it. Try avg/norton/ccleaner/etc., try restoring to a past date, disc cleanup, and if it doesn't work you are probably gonna have to reformat.

Check running process, you could be lucky and find out the name of the virus running.

If you find the name of it or a program pics it up, don't let your anti-virus software remove it, google the name of the virus and look for a removal program or instructions for removal.
