    i am going to buy one of these in the next day or two. looking for what has the best online game play in your opinions since that is what i will be playing the most.

    Meh I have both and prefer xbox but they really aren't super different in terms of the online gaming experience. Xbox costs money to play online but you can find cheap deals for year long subscriptions. If you don't have a blu ray player and that interests you then thats a pretty big plus for ps3.

    I'd recommend getting whatever more of your friends have.

    LOL Ps3 is honestly shit, the online play is so weak the players all bad, xbox is where the competition is at, and the software rapes PS3, and xbox has better exclusive games like Gears of war 3. if your interested in online play xbox is the obv choice. and plus the PS3 controller is so shit.

    As 3ven said DEFINITELY get what most of your friends have.

    XBOX has better/more online players (but costs money) and a better controller.

    PS3 I think is a higher quality system and online is free.

    Games are preferential IMO.

    I have both but if I could only have one it would be xbox.

    Pros and cons to both systems. IMO the biggest strength either has over the other are the stix though. 360s controller is more durable and more comfortable. It is a superior controller.

    Seriously though, get what your friends have. It is the most important thing.
