As a sports reporter, yahoo sports makes me want to vomit. I don't consider myself to be a great sports writer but I'd give copy better than 90 percent of the drivel on there. It's so awful.
-
chris chase has always been fucking atrocious
-
that's almost worthy of a mrtimcaum recording.
-
Give the guy a break. He clearly posted that article directly to the site from his phone
-
looool That is just wp.
-
my stomach hurts reading that
-
Apparently he must only post articles from his phone because every article I've ever read of his was a semi-coherent train wreck. I've flamed this Chris Chase in the Yahoo comments section more than a few times for this as well as the general banality/cluelessness of his articles.

According to some of the comments on the article page, it looks like Chris Chase is actually Chris Yang, the brother of the co-founder of Yahoo, and is of Chinese heritage (thus the grammar problems, as he is apparently not fluent in English). So, apparently they basically just gave him the job when he asked for it, since his brother was the bigwig of their company so they weren't allowed to turn him down, and now they are forced to just have a bunch of articles with ridiculous grammar errors constantly from this guy as a result.

Yahoo gonna yahoo

These aren't really "reporters" in the traditional sense. They're bloggers, and I doubt that there are editors at Yahoo who read their copy before it gets posted to the web.
Not saying it's right, but as a sports editor, I can tell you that this is probably the case. -
Lol it looks like they fixed all the errors now.
-
haha I was going to say. It didn't flow all that well and still felt like an 8th grader wrote it but it didn't seem that bad. I was starting to think I lost my grasp of the English language.
-
They also link fan blogs into news for teams as well.
-
what changes did they make?
it still says "became more confidence in her"
