  1. I'm a pretty big mets fan but gotta say I do enjoy watchin the yanks lately. Seems like a lot more home grown players are getting it done for them. Really don't mind the guys they've brought in (fuckin hate arod) martin, swisher even grandy just rep the pinstripes well imo. Been fun watchin nova, gardner even nunez be the next possible regime of yankees and with more young talent in the system montero, banuelos, betances etc could be fun... Was pretty tilted when they dumped tino for giambi and traded away soriano got arod signed sheffield, damon etc...

With that being said, their pitchin seems a bit thin down the stretch...Wug thoughts about cashman making a push for felix with packaging montero, banuelos for felix to seattle knowin seattle isnt goin to retain felix after 2012 and quite frankly martin is a G in pinstripes. I dunno prob a long shot either way but wug thoughts about the near future for the yanks??

  2. I see them throwing the kitchen sink at CC when he opts out after this year.

IDK what Cashman is doing with himself but if he stays I do not see him going after Felix. He has been on a home grown kick lately and I see it continuing although Im not sure what they are going to do with Montero. That is assuming ARod will see more DH time with Nunez as a super sub.

Hope to see Banuelos up in September and see what he can do , but not positive if they can sneak him in for a couple starts.

As hard as it is for people to envision it, I truly do feel the owners now are a lot more aware of the bottom line and wont just hand out ridic money like in years past. (Especially with their lower attendance numbers)
  3. The M's aren't trading King Felix. Pineda might be a legit possibility tho.

actually think from a business side makes more sense for them to dump felix over pineda b/c of contracts. felix is gone in 2012 most likely test free agency where pineda is still under small contract for 4 more years which to an organization is a lot more valuable. I'm not a GM tho so clearly all speculation.

  6. of course he'll go after FElxi? Will he get him is another thing. I think we'll wait til winter of 2012 when tons of pitchers hit the market and make a run at Matt Cain or another young righty.

Wat? King Felix is signed through 2014.

Just because Yankee fans want King Felix, that doesn't mean the M's are in a hurry to help the Yankees out. The M's have a very favorable contract for one of the best pitchers in baseball and I don't see them moving the face of their franchise for anything less than the world.

  8. I'm a yankees fan and I think burnett sucks and is supposed to be the #2 and its hard to win playoff games when all your #2 does is lose. Also Nunez sucks, his fielding is horribad. They also can't seem to beat the red sox this year so it hurts to say it but an ALCS loss seems inevitable unless the rangers/tigers KO the BoSox in the playoffs

An ALDS loss seems likely, unless they can figure some shit out with their rotation.
