  1. Don't see anyone talking about an Eliminator Challenge so I thought I would check for interest. There has been one run for at least the last four years in OT started by BigGunX. I had the misfortune of taking it over the year of Chaz and Jaybone ran it last year. Since this is one of my favorite types of league, couldn't not have one.

    Looking for interest and input.

Wanted to do two leagues $25 & $50 but for simplicity think it may just be one $50. As for payment, I am thinking Paypal unless people want LeagueSafe. I am a seller on eBay so I have had a Verified Premier Account on Paypal for years.

So if you are interested in maybe doing this let me know, and if a decent number of people respond I will start a new thread for the contest. Also air any concerns you may have.

Reason: thank you to the mod who fixed my title
  2. I am in. Would be more comfortable with a recognized holder.

Not saying you aren't, I am not on P5's much, and if everyone is fine with it I am fine.
  3. As far as a holder goes; if its a deal breaker I will find one. However the only reason I was going to hold was because when the year I ran it when BigGunX didn't want to do it, people told me "you get a better response with a known holder...", so I found one (or rather one found me) and we all know how that turned out.

I know I'm not a fixture here but I've been a member for over 5 years, had online accounts for longer than that, held for some last longers and other smaller contests. Don't want to be pretentious but I really don't need the money; I'm set up well enough on my own. But I do understand peoples concerns.

So that being said, I can find someone to hold if it that's what it comes down to. I could ship an estimate of the total to the holder and then have you ship to me so they don't have to deal with keeping track of who paid, sending out Paypal email addresses and such.

I really want to get one of these leagues going. As I said I've been in one in OT for the last 4 years and really like it.

  8. How does an eliminator league work? I'll probably be down to play.
  9. Im drawing a blank who ran the suicide league for the last few years DaVols???
  10. I heard back and CMoney3 has agreed to hold the money for the contest. To make it easier on him (since he isn't the one doing this), and so he doesn't need to keep track of who shipped the money. You can send your entry to me and I in turn will send the money to him in blocks (every day or two) to hold for the duration of the contest. If this isn't a welcomed option, I have another idea but we'll wait and see what people think.

To answer your question Popperhead, DaVols has run a suicide league the last couple years. However, he runs it using a google spreadsheet and you would PM your pick to him. It was also a $10 league. The "Official" OT Eliminator Challenge ($50) was run by BigGunX for a few years. For some reason he didn't want to do it for the '09-'10 season (year of Chazgate) and I ran it. Then last year Jaybone ran it.

I will make a thread for the contest this weekend. By then objections for the payment options should be known.

    To answer your question jackdiesel

The Eliminator Challenge is simple...You pick one team a week to win (no spread)...If they win you move on to the next week. The last one in wins. The catch is that you can only use a team once. For instance Week 1 you pick PIT over BAL (man week 1 is hard, no real gimme), you can't choose PIT for the rest of the season, however you can pick BAL another week.

So basically, you're wrong once...you're out of the race for the $$$.

Many times when its comes down to a couple ppl left a deal is made and you are free to do what you want at that point. It's your money.
