I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think I find myself playing too many MTT's at once, so I fall into auto-pilot mode which is greatly reducing my tournament results.

I'm playing up to 16 tables tiled at once and I use a HUD. I can process basic information such as paying attention to blinds and my position and all that. The problem is I don't feel like I'm making a lot of read-dependent plays. Outside of their HUD stats, I generally can't say a whole lot about any of my opponents when I have this many tables up, is this terrible?

I just feel like I'm missing so much value in the mid to late stages of tournaments. If I'm playing a single table I feel like I can crush micro-low stakes, but I'm trying to "play through variance" by putting in a lot of volume each day.

Did anyone else feel like they had a problem with this at one time or another? How damaging can it be for me to NOT have strong reads and be very focusd at micro/low stakes?
