  1. I just got offered a similar job in Tulsa to what I have now in Minneapolis and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the poker scene is like in Tulsa? I heard they have a hard rock casino. Has anyone played there? Are there any regularly scheduled good tourneys? Are there other casinos close to Tulsa? I have played at downstream near Joplin and it was a super soft 1/2nl cash game there but there were hardly any tourneys, and ones they had were 20min blinds and like $25 and shit. In the twin cities you can play several different tourneys a week that are good structure and $200+ buy ins with 5k+ for 1st and every month or two they have a tourney that is a 1k with 50k+ for first but there are lots of very strong players here. I would appreciate some feedback on Tulsa because I grew up in Joplin, MO and have family and friends down there, and I'm thinking about moving down there. I will also be able to cash in my pension and 401k (not all of it) and have a nice br if I do go. If anyone is from that area please let me know any information you know about poker there and thank you very much. Jaybone and Sweetness have inspired me to not give a fuck and Step up to the plate. If this happens I'm def. taking two weeks off and heading to Vegas and trying to satty in to the ME and play some $235's at the rio and a couple of wsop events. And if I get a bracelet or sick cash then I just say no to the new job and stay there.
  2. It's 1/2 in two casinos in Tulsa Hard Rock and Riverspirit with River being the busier recently. There is a weekly $120 every saturday at Hard Rock and then there are dailys in the morning at both places 35-50 bucks range and nightlys at both around 60-80 range. Also Hard Rock runs series about 4 times a year or so and usually has a 2 starting day re-entry $350 100k gtd two weekends in a row for their series w other stuff during the week. They also give away an ipad and a case for the winner as a trophy in most. There is also 2/5 no cap on the weekends and PLO high a few days a week that runs from 1/2, 1/2/5, up to 5/10. There is 10/20 and 20/20 omaha hi -lo a few days a week and there was a 10-25 every other thursday for a while but not sure if its going currently. There is 2 casinos with soem action but its mostly 1/2, but its better than a lot o fplaces. We are also 2.5hrs from Choctaw casino Durant, 3 hrs to WInstar Casino in Thackerville, and 1.45 hrs from Riverwind in OKC. Hope this helps, read my blog in blog section.
