Since starting live ive decided to just go with 1/2 cash games. I was an online tourney player that didnt play cash so I was just wondering what would be a decent book that would be a good read for someone that wanted some live cash advice.

Cash Games (How to Win at No-Limit Hold'em Money Games) Vol. 1
Harrington on Cash Games, Volume II: How to Play No-Limit Hold 'em Cash Games
Both are excellent books! -
Agree with the Harrington books as a starting point. He says there is no defense to a tight aggressive player. This will at least give you solid hand selection and a no nonsense approach.

is there anything good beside harrington? im in the same boat as op but i want something newer more relevant to todays game

Well I know what your saying by "Today's Game" but it's still just poker. The key is adjusting to your table and your opponents. This is much easier done live than online because there is a lot less turnover. The range of hands you should be playing and what not are never going to change except in respect to your opponents. If there is an advanced player making moves then just adjust to that in pots with him.

Professional No Limit Hold'em Vol. 1 was an interesting read and had some concepts that may help you.

Chris 'Fox' Wallace has a book out called 'No Limits', which is geared strictly to cash games, live and online. Pretty good.
