    I dont play live that much at all so i was wondering is it worth playing the $100+30 events or is the rake too high?

    i dont play live much, but $100 tourey fees are usually around $20 i think, then some do a $5 dealer tip add on

    it also has 30min levels with a 12.5K starting stack and 40min levels at the final table

    In general, Harrah's casinos will have higher rakes than almost anyone. This does not include sub-$100 buyins which can have an unreal rake %-at least in vegas. Also, they prolly take another 3% out of the prize pool in addition to whatever they say the 'rake' is.

    All of that sucks, but the better players will generally stay away from these tournaments. higher rake/softer field--a bit of a trade off.
