First time at the Commerce!!

    Quick history on me: I've played for 6 yyears sometimes occasionally sometimes daily for months straight. Only play small Indian casinos, lots of home games, and decent amount online.


    I have read the forums on and off for a while now, but don't post. Just wanted to share my initial reaction to coming to the Commerce. I have only played at small Indian casinos near Missouri playing 1/2, 2/5, and 5/10 nl (rarely). I have been to Harrahs a couple times thinking it was amazing!

    So as I walk in to the commerce and go by a bunch of table games I see a MASSIVE room with what looks like over 100 tables. In my head I think wow thats a big tournament (the LA classic is running right now). So I walk up to a floorman and ask where are the cash games. He goes these are cash games (about the 3rd time I almost shat myself in 2 minutes). I ask to play 2/5nl he says the lowest limit in that room was 10-20nl (LOL). He sends me to another room bigger then the first and I sit. I was trying hard not to shake from the excitement for the first 20 mins.

    I'm up $350 right now about an hour in.

    Just thought some of the newer guys would like to have an idea of how it feels to step into such a massively different situation and thought some of the pros and regulars could get a good laugh

    I'm hoping to play the $340 Turbo Double Stack 100k Guarantee on the 22nd.

    I am looking at the Bravo app and see lol 209 tables going right now. Yikes.

    I ended up playing for around 3 hours and profited $920. I felt perfectly comfortable after the initial shock went away. Great experience, very cool atmosphere, and I hope to go back. I most likely won't be able to play the classic because we are here to see my wife's family, but who knows.

    So does that app tell you how many active cash tables there are at major casinos or something?

    Yeah it's a location based app that tells you what games are going at whichever room, and the stakes. All real time. It's the tits.

    I love commerce that's my favorite casino..nice win at the tables gl if you play that lapc event..

    Ok so I ended up playing 9 times at the commerce haha. Some 3/5 but mostly $400 buy in 5/10. Finished plus $4,150. It was an awesome experience and can't wait to go back. Just to let u know if u play 5/10 or higher you get free food, I found this out like 6 days in lol. My wife ordered a top sirloin stake I go to pay and they tell me it's free, totally new experience for me.

    Ok one last update, I ended up playing my last night in cali, profiting $3,200, so over the two weeks made over $7,000. I will chalk down my first time at the commerce as a good one.

    Thanks! And yeah that's crazy I know my food usually isn't more the a small and big blind but it is still a nice perk.

    god man your making me jealous!! ive been waiting for that i have like 5 more months to go th0 but cant wait! i would say im about the same as you were right now i go to the indian casinos sometimes play 2/5 usually rarely 5/10 and the occasional 1/3 but mostly a online grinder.. cant wait to join you on the grind and gl take it down!
