  1. Since online is basically shut down, I am trying to find good live tournaments. For the most part the Detroit casino tournaments are terrible. I would love to find a good blind structure tourny. I play at Snookers on Sundays once in a while and their structure is ok. I have also looked at Soaring Eagle last Saturday of the month tourny. I have heard good things about it. Also would be willing to drive the 3.5 hrs to Hammond IN and play in their $500 end of the month tourny. Any others or any comments on the ones I mentioned? Seems most of the tournys locally are a total donkfest.

  2. I'm considering going to Hammond this month for $500 buy-in tourney($15K added to prizepool, and final 9 players in July win seat into 250K guarantee-$1500 Buy-in Tournament in August). Plus I guess they give away a bunch of seats to the cash game players throughout the month, so the field is pretty soft. Looked at blind structure, and it seemed OK, had the dreaded 100-200-25 to 200-400-50 level jump. Overall structure looks decent, 40 minute blinds, 10K starting stacks(8k+2k for $10 dealer toke) Here is link for structure http://www.horseshoehammond.com/imag...yTrnmnt_Rk.pdf

  3. I've played in the past couple Friday and Sunday tourneys at the Horseshoe in Hammond and the structure is decent and the players are pretty bad. With the bigger starting stack and longer blind levels(only 30 minutes for the Friday and Sunday tourney) it would seem that the Saturday tourney would be even better.

  4. soaring eagles is decent, i havent been there in over a year. I remember i played in one good one, and one shitty one, i would assume the good one was the end of the month tournament
  5. The problem with soaring Eagles is you have to drive up there the day before to ensure you get into the tournament. They only have 180 seats. I have been thinking about the Hammond tourny.

Why do they start with such massive stacks in such low buy in tourneys and then increase the blinds every 15 minutes?

  8. tbh i have not been there yet, I just saw that the last time they ran this tournament it was over 8k up top which is quite large for one like this...haven't even looked at the structure, but the room looks nice :-x
