situation 1: Cards are dealt out to a full table. Player in seat 6 looks at seat 7's hole cards instead of his own.
what is the typical ruling here?
situation 2: Mid hand. The turn card is exposed before the last person acts thus killing this card.
The ruling was made to remove said card from current action. finish the current betting.
once betting was complete then another burn went down and what would have been the river card is turned up.
Then the previously exposed card is reshuffled and another card will be burned and turned once betting action has finished.
Situation one I'm not sure on the rule.
situation 2 I have researched and this seems common but I dont understand how the original turn card is not given a chance to come up on what would be the turn. Say a person has a 4 flush and the turn would have brought the flush. Now the river card is going to be dealt and bet upon and then the reshuffled deck will bring a river card. I just dont get it. Am I nuts? -
1. call seat 6 an asshat & redeal.
2. don't let morons deal. -
1. misdeal as long as there's no significant action, which usually there isnt' in situations like this

2. uh, i think you got it right...you show the card so all can see it, then let action complete on the flop...then you burn again and turn the natural river card now as the turn card...then you shuffle the original turn card back into the deck and then when it's time for the river, you don't burn (since you already did) and just turn over the river card
edit: calling seat 6 an asshat is also recommended

I think you got it right on both counts also. -

This except asshat can be exchanged for many other terms.
For the second situation in NZ (at least the games I've played) the card would be returned to deck and shuffled in b4 the turn is redealt thus given the card the same chance of coming out again. -
this makes more sense. They were turning over the would be river. then reshuffling in the exposed card, which made my hand, and putting that card out as the new river. It made no sense to me as say its the 7H then the 7H has 0% chance of being put out on the turn.
