By the same people who are in negotiations with buying Full Tilt.

doesn't sound top heavy at all
  3. Now that seems like a pretty amazing idea.

  4. How are they going to sell tickets for this though? Its not like poker is suited for a stadium. I can see a theater, but hard to really be happy about having upper deck seats for this @ Wembley. I guess I could be if I knew that I couldn't watch it on streaming video from home and had to go to Wembley to see it live on their big screen TV's.
  5. It sounds like that one episode of the Micros.

If thats true the all starting to click. And maybe there is still hope to rerun ftp. Because if that is true I think that Tapie group only need ftp for its tournament purpose and for awhile give a little fuck for online itself. I mean they need to use it and they do all it is necessary to do it, pay players etc.
    Hmmm.....
  9. I can't think of anything else to say but...baby steps? What needs to be done before this happens?

    1. Structure purchasing details with DOJ
    2. Purchase FTP
    3. License FTP
    4. Pay US and Int. players money, offer equity to large account, etc etc blah blah
    5. Realize this announcement is WAY DOWN THE ROAD from their current state.

1118. Organize the largest tournament in the world to attempt market saturation in a similar fashion as a Direct Mail piece, spike player base in the short term, realize that FTP still needs to clean up its tarnished image before convincing ex-FTPers to become loyal players again.
  10. gonna win it

  11. I doubt they will sell tickets until the final table, like the wsop final... I know some of the Euro stadiums get up there and could handle 30k players and fans but it would be a logistical nightmare. you could set it up like railing online where there are "tables" up on the big screen but who's going to pay for that? at the final they will probably set it up like a boxing match, putting bleachers\chairs in the lawn with the last table\tables elevated on a stage or sunken at one end with a temporary grandstand closing it in.
