Need to add Hard Rock. Twice daily tourneys $60 buy in for 10K chips--don't know the rounds.

Edit: Rounds are 20 min. -
I've recently moved to Las Vegas and I've been making the transition to live cash the past month. From those with experience what are the best casinos to play 1/2 2/5 5/10 10/20 etc. Thanks

I skimmed thread and didnt see this question so if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
Going for a quick Vegas trip in a week and found Ballys and Flamingo are about same price on the cheap side.40-50/night
Ive stayed at about 5 of the strip hotels but never Ballys or Flamingo. I thought Harrahs was decent and pretty much all I needed when went last and very close to Venetian since Ill be there the most. Have stayed at IP also and just dont feel like doing that again. So anyone that has stayed at Flamingo and Ballys, which ones have better/cleaner rooms? Will not be gambling at either hotel so the pits there dont really matter just looking for best room for the price. Thanks and GL all P5ers this year! -
Ballys rooms were clean and cheap 2 years ago. Location is decent if you want to gamble @ Venetian as you mentioned. Can't speak about Flamingo, but didn't have a problem staying at Ballys for a peaceful night's rest.

Im headed to Vegas in August, ill be there during the week (Monday-Thursday). Its not my first time to vegas but its my first time going as a 21 year old so I feel more comfortable getting up from the SB and heading to the poker tables.
I live 20 minutes from the Turning Stone but I absolutely hate (with a firing passion) their tournaments, feels like you're playing a super turbo (these are the dailys not the big shabangs that they do every so often).
So my question is basically what are some of your guys' favorite tournies for less than $100. Structure and competition (with a lean towards structure) would be the biggest things im looking for.
Ive found some that have a decent looking structure, but its been so long since I've played that I feel like I've forgotten what a good structure even is. lol.
Any help would be appreciated. -
Dont mean to get off topic but how is turning stone? I use to live just outside of Cortland and will be up that way at the end of the month

Your not going to find a tournament with a good structure for under $100 live.

aria's $125 daily and Venetian's $120 daily are probably going to have the most players the majority of the time. they r still crap shoots towards the end but def better than anything <$100 imo

hands down i think aria's tourny is the way to go. I played it first tourny in vegas last month and finished 4th.(top 6 paid) tourny lasted around 7 hours which shows what kind of structure it is. I remember at Final Table is was sitting 4th in chips with around 32bb's which isnt bad. You are still deep enough to throw a 3bet out and have some kind of fold equity if shoved on. Play is soft except for some reg's thinkin they are the sh*t. If i remember right it had about 80 runners but in aug you might be looking at 60-80. that was a year ago so i dont know about now.

Play is still awful, (competition that is) and it gets worse every time I visit.

$125 isn't bad, ill probably load that up on the first or second day, see how I do then go from there. My favorite thing to do in Vegas is bet on sports, and I do it at the Mirage and I know they have a nice room (haven't yet played in it obv). So ill probably be cash gaming for the most part, but Ill check out the aria for sure.
TY for the tips guys. -
Thanks for that link wantagolf. Pretty much has everything anyone would need.

Ok OT, time to give me some of your Vegas savvy. I'm going to be in Vegas the 15th-19th of August. I want to play at least one big tournament while I'm there. Does anyone know of anything that's worth my while? I'm willing to spend anywhere from $100-$600 on the buy-in. Thanks in advance for your information.

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this question in. What kind of comps can you get when you sign up for a Player's club card and how much would you need to be betting before it becomes worth having one. Say for example you and the wife are in one of the participating hotels for 4 nights and just betting a couple of hours a day for fun. Are you going to earn anything worth talking about on a players club card? (or whatever they're called now)

The Orleans has the best structure for a lower limit tourney, imo. I dont search much but it is not a super turbo. 20 min levels for first 3, then it goes to 30 min levels. The blinds climb pretty slow because they do not double. Most places double their blinds every level. The buy in is $75 except for fridays its $125. Usually like 7 tables, friday is like 25-30 tables. The competition is mediocre, but then again im a recreational player so the competiton will prolly be easier if your decent.GL

Going to Vegas in a couple weeks and I was wondering where some good places to play are. I have been to Vegas once (mostly played at Mandalay where I was staying and a few other places close by) but have played a good amount of live sessions in AC and other east cost casinos. I normally play 1/2 or 1/3 and occasionally 2/4 and 2/5. I was wondering where the best places to play are where you run into a lot of tourists that are just throwing money around and it's easy to clean up. I am an average player but know more than your every day guy that just wants to sit at a table in Vegas.
