  1. Since black Friday I have been, as many U.S. players have, dealing with the rule changes and different structure of live play. I have been playing mostly plo at the 1/1 level, the game gets really big for a 1\1 game towards the end of the night and I love it but its only spread on Fridays. There is another game that runs a few times a week but I'm not sure what sort of bankroll I would need as its a new structure. Any thoughts on the game described below, or on bankroll requirements for live plo (or any plo!) would be much appreciated.

The game: blinds are 1/2 min 200 buyin max 500. There is a minimum bet of $5 (you cannot "limp") so the bots seem to get big for a 1/2 game. I was previously thinking that I should be following the BR requirements of 2/5 game but that seems like it may be excessive. after all if I'm raising its for min of $6 normally anyway.

  2. I think the general concensus will be 20-50 buy ins unless the game is super soft.
  3. There are a group of reg's that play it, I would say no more than a couple are what I would consider "dangerous" but they all have an idea of what's going on.

  4. 1/2/5 should be treated like 2/5, if not bigger imo. I don't know how many buy ins you should have though, thats not my area.
  5. You want at least 25 buyins at this stake and this level of play. But i would make sure you are bank rolling yourself from profit from the small PLO game first, I play almost exclusively live and have for years and this is a pretty different game live than online so getting used to the ups and downs of live play is harder IMO. Cause you lose a buy in there at that table and you don't have another table up on teh screen that you are up a buy in. Its a psychological thing for lots of people. We have feisted on the online guys comeing to play in our PLO, NLH and HORSE game since BF lots have had problems adjusting so don't be to worried. It was much easier for me to transition my play to online than it seems online players have going to a live table.
  6. thanks guys, much appreciated
