If a player is not at the table and he is small or big blind the dealer in that case sholud muck his hand before any action taken at the table by palyers or he should wait untill the action reaches to him in the blind and after that muck his hand, and for example if he reaches his seat before his turn to play in the blind is his hand dead anyway ?The quesion is for tournament and not CG. ty

Definitely muck prior to aciton starting.

In a cash game, their hand is live until it is their action. Tournaments once the last card is dealt to the button, the hand hsould be killed, however some dealers are pretty lax in this rule.

In a cash game an absent player skips their blinds till they get back. Then they either post them or wait till it's their blind again.

Lol. If you're not at the table in a cash game they don't deal you in....
Most places for tourneys if you're not in your seat by the time the button gets his last card then your hand is dead. This varies based on location, but is the most common thing I've seen

here in germany, in every place i played live the hand was folded when the action reached that player.

Live skip em n tourneys I say play until pot is raised or someone bets. If u don't bet asitout player and he wins then u deserve to lose

If you in the bb and not in your seat, you are not dealt a hand. The dealer tosses a "missed blind" button in your spot, and when you return you can post both blinds, straddle (buy the button) or continue to sit out until the blinds hit you again.

If OP doesn't mean tourneys then the question is pretty stupid imo. Everybody knows that in CG a player who's not in his seat doesn't post his BB (which is done before the cards are dealt) and sits out.

From my experiences if you arent in your seat when the last card is dealt your hand is mucked. I was told its so you cant look at peoples hole cards while they look at them on your way back to the seat.

In my game it is similar, but if you are not there when YOUR second card is given then the hand is dead. Even for talking sakes if u are utg

I have seen in some card room cash games where they always deal to the chips, not to the player. In those cases they mucked the hand when the action gets to the empty seat. They would still skip their blinds but get a hand and if they came back before the action was on them they had the option of posting their blinds before looking at their cards.
Haven't seen that for years though.
