  1. Anyone heading down for this small series? The Main event is $1100 - $100K gaurentee which is probly absurd value since the northern CT "regs" should be out in full force. I'll probly be there from Friday - Sunday.

  2. Is the "main event" a 2 day event ?
  3. Not sure. They don't mention anything on the website. I don't think they plan on it though. May depend on the field size.

  4. anyone who goes to mohegan sun to play poker now that the napt blew up is a complete fool. foxwoods is 10 minutes away, i don't even see this series as a valid excuse to go there instead.

    Not sure if serious?

100K prizepool in a tournament that has like no regs. I'm pretty sure the only two people of note who are playing this are steathmunk and jcamby.
    Guess you don't like money?

  6. was serious, but was making a rather obvious(?) generalization. I can see where you're coming from.

    the guarantee means nothing though
  7. I played the 550 yesterday and had stealthmunk 2 to my right and bdbeatslayer 2 to my left. Then 10 minutes later a guy late regs who made day 5 of the ME this year. Was pretty funny to get that table draw.

But yeah....playing at Foxwoods while this is going on would be asinine. Guarantees mean a lot since the Mohegun mtts this weekend are going to be much bigger than anything Foxwoods has running. Bigger guarantees = bigger prizepools = better value.

edit: also free food/snacks, better cell phone rule and a nicer casino/hotel. Mohegun wins pretty much across the board.

    Yes
  9. The "SUN" is a better place to play period its not even close tbh. The "WOODS" has been tanking now for quite a long time now. If you dispute anything Tyson says above your not thinking clearly, gl and enjoy the fish to those that are playing these!

  10. well apartment is no longer 20 minutes away since last summer, and i'm not a tournament player.

i've been in all other prime locations in the country before crashing and burning in california and vegas since a few months of no play anywhere but foxwoods. personally i'd say it wins hands down for playing cash games full time until the internet is fixed.

i was making an incredibly opinionated post from personal experience, really i get it..

i'm glad you guys are doing well though, good luck (you probably won't need it)

if you can competently play all forms of poker you won't find softer games anywhere with as much DEAD money as foxwoods

obviously it's changed in the last yr, but if OE still runs more then once a week big stud games are still the norm and the whole mass/ny/ri population didn't magically get good at nl it's pointless to argue why i would feel that way.

  13. Last hand of reentry. Player asks floor if I call this all in and lose and have 2 k chips left can I abandon stack to re enter w a fresh one. Yes no problem. Floor is asked again w player stating call is based on his ruling he says gl yes u can renter. So player calls the 16 k blind shove w 18 k stack. Loses flip and now floor re-negs and forces player to play <10 bb stack refusing a re entry.

lol thanks man, didn't even realize you were on pocketfives. Ended up chopping the $250 event for about 5K. Feels pretty good.
