Buy-ins are much more efficient to classify chips in a cash game where you are at a single table and you can gauge your stacks based on the money on the table and your opponent's effective stacks and likelihood to buy in again.
There is nothing illustrious about having 300 BB at 6/1200 blinds in the main event(highest ev tournament for professionals) and having a suuuuper deep stack is going to give such a creative player alot of room to operate.
I think he was top 5 when thread was started and now he is top 3 with 550+ (didn't check those facts)
I stand by my point, you should not downplay a top 10 stack in the best tournament of the year... Who honestly talks about stack sizes in terms of buyins and illusion?
