    So I recently moved to Texas (the Midland/Odessa area) and not only are there no casinos that spread Texas Hold'em, I can't seem to find even a home game ANYWHERE. The closest casino to me with poker is about 5 hours away in New Mexico. Other than Homepokergames, does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to go about finding a cash game? Everyone here seems content with playing freerolls for a top prize of $20 in dive bars with 50 people playing and I'm dying to find even a $1/$2 game

    what made you move to Texas? How close are you to Oklahoma. There is a casino in Durant?

    I had success on http://www.homepokergames.com/texas.php while in the Houston area last August. I got into many games and got a ton of replies even though I wasn't able to make any of them. It looks like the games around your area are a little older but it wouldn't hurt to try all of the emails and see if there are any phone contacts in any of the listings. Check the towns within ?30? miles too. GL man!

    Midland,well named as it is in the middle of Texas,actually Abilene is closer to the middle.....you are far from everything. If you are there for work, check with any of those folks to see if someone has a home game going, or start your own. Just don't get busted by the cops. Otherwise it will be weekends only at the New Mexico Indian casinos. Hopeyou have a super job and can save for those road trips. Or the Oklahoma Indian Casinos

    I e-mailed every single person on homepokergames.com that was listed, with no luck. Oklahoma is too far away, and New Mexico costs me $100 to drive there and back and that's not counting money to stay the night. I was just hoping someone had a suggestion I haven't thought of. I may HAVE to start my own. As far as I'm aware, it's perfectly legal to run a game under the conditions that there is no rake, and I can't advertise (in other words, word of mouth only).

    My name is Spivey and I just moved to odessa from austin. Saw your post and wanted to know if you've had any luck finding any home games. In austin I could play daily and here I can't find a thing.

    There are really good games running everyday in Midland.
