  1. Since the Nov 9 was basically made to counter the lack of suspense of WSOP tournaments cause everyone knows the outcome by the time theyre done with production (waiting 3 months gives the world a chance to know whats going on and tune in for the FT and blah blah)... dont you think ESPN can do away with the whole concept since live coverage seemed to work pretty well this year? just a thought after reading the article on p5s, every player seems to hate the thought of having to come back in November, so maybe having an always live Feed on ESPN3 would be better and then ESPN2 on like primetime hours or somethin? idk
  2. fwiw they have done live coverage in some form for the FT for years now. Used to be a PPV event

  3. i almost made this exact thread a little while back...seems to me that the Nov 9 was created so that they could show each weeks episode consecutively leading up to exactly a week or two before they played the ft out, and unless you went out of your way to find out, you really had no idea what happened until you saw it on Tuesday night in sept-oct. now that we all know what has happened, and the live coverage was ESPN at that, isnt the 4 month wait just kinda unnecessary? i mean, i like the concept of a little bit of media and promotion time in between, but now that we've seen it live on ESPN up to the ft a quarter of a year seems a bit much

  4. We the people on a poker forum have watched it live already yes, but the average "joe plumber" as it were may have had other things to do and just likes to catch the episodes in september/october with everyone else.

  5. LOL @ better things to do than watch live main event coverage! jk....i def see your point. i guess "november nine" as a nice ring to it anyway.

  6. It also gives the nine players ample time to market themselves to the world, get endorsements, and improve their games. There's a little more to it than just it coinciding with ESPN's broadcast.
