Guys,
I've been in Atlanta for one yr and wanted to see what most people in and around Atlanta do for poker. I know there are free bar games, but those do not interest me one bit. Playing for 4-5hrs to win a measly $25 is not really interesting lol. I do actually know of tournaments that are held in Smyrna, but what do the majority of ya'll do? -
I imagine you might get some responses here, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to cross post this on the Georgia Local Community page linked below.

I live in Dallas and I haven't been able to find anywhere to play except for local bars. Savannah has a boat which is 4 hours away. North Carolina has a casino 3 hours away but the poker is on a computer screen.

When I came to America I thought i'd be able to find poker all over the place. This is terrible!! Don't tell me I have to move again lol.

its like trying to find crack in Saudi Arabia. i too live in ATL and am up for a good game. let me know what you find out. I played in an underground cash game last year that was pretty legit, not sure if its still running or not.

I do know of a few cash games that run, which are run well. However, I only know of one place to play tournaments, which is at the America Legion Post #160 in Smyrna. They run tournaments throughout the week, but not on Wednesdays at the moment. The name is On Tilt Promos. I usually head down there once or twice a month. Buyins are usually around the $100+ range.

Atlanta is a major airport hub which enables you to have access to cheaper flights to places like Vegas, Florida, and others. I'd be looking into that as it's a better option than the ones I've seen so far.

Biloxi its only a4hr ride. I used to go all the times on the weekend. Very soft games and Shrimpers and boaters who suck at poker
