Currently playing at oceans eleven in oceanside but I'm wondering if I'm in the right spot. Anyone have any tips or info on the best places to play? I live in DelMar\Carlsbad ares and LA is about 1.5 hours away so if I have to go there I will but I'd love to find a decent game closer. any thoughts\tips\info would be awesome, thanks. I'll list the casino's I know of below but again, no clue what their traffic, rewards, or rake structures are.
Oceans Eleven
Pala
Harrahs Rincon
Pechanga
The Bike
Commerce -
I've only played at Commerce but you can't go wrong there. Most poker action I've seen at any casino anywhere

In San Diego, i play at Sycuan. Vejas is probably the best of the casinos, but the card rooms have good action.

Village Card room usually has 5/10 NL running.

Palomar Card Room also has 5/10 and 10/20

Those are quite closer than Commerce. -
Didnt read the rest of the replies but Commerce is the only option...

Don't they do it pretty wierd at the Commerce? Like if you wanna play 1/2NL the max buy in for that game is 40$....
I always play at the Bycicle Casino because of that reason and its only about 10 min away from Commerce. Also there is Hawiian Gardens Casino and seems to be some of the softer games ive seen.... -
Commerce not close. poker players casino of casinos

awesome advice guys, thank you very much. Does anyone know of any regular small plo games? thinking that this might be my best bet for cash, I played one at oceans, a few regs but some fish came by too... but it only goes on friday night from what I'm told. again, all info greatly appreciated.
this is actually one of my bigger issues with playing at oceans, they do that too and I wanted to spend some time playing lower just to get used to it. All of my cash experiance is 100bb+ and tourney is turbo so 20bb is even rare. the 2\3 game seems good but I'd rather get my feet wet cheaper.Originally Posted by bustindustin

I was referring to NL Holdem. I know they have Omaha H/L but i think it's fixed limit. You can call them and ask if they run PLO.

oh ok are they going to have traffic information? like when the games run and how much interest e.g., I just assumed they wouldn't keep those details ( or at least make them publicly available easily)

Hollywood Park has some very very soft games. Not exactly close to where you are, but may be worth the travel.
