It wasn't just a raise, Morgan went ALL IN for 3.4 Million chips, Smirnov had nearly identical stack going into the hand. -
this is just redic what the hell is going on nowadays

The river was the

"Call!" Hellmuth exclaimed, the second the chips hit the felt.
Phua tabled
for sixes full of queens, but Hellmuth had him beat with
for queens full of aces.
"What...?" Rick Salomon blurted.
The table was shocked that Hellmuth just called, and some players began needling him.
"What were you afraid of?" Chamath Palihapitiya asked.
"Yeah," Salomon added. "There's no one at this table that doesn't get it in there."
"There's no one else at this table named Phil Hellmuth," Hellmuth shot back.
"There's also no one else that catches cards like you," Mike Sexton jabbed.
The conversation continued when we left, and while Phua is down to 475,000 chips, Hellmuth is up to 7.1 million.
nice value hellmutia -
aah k, but still there are like a ton of hands he beats and villain is playing them like this

dont play the 1Drop if your afraid of getting coolered and stuff -
to make this fold profitable villain needs to to have straight flush 2 out of 3 times. i get his thought process but given the odds and the fact that villain still is a amateur who might be overly excited about his hand i still think this fold is terrible
-
So he just flatted when only losing to aces full? I guess phua had an Oreo and ate it and Phil just happened to rewatch rounders last night...

Lots of ppl who will never see $1M combined in their entire life talking shit itt
-
just saying most of these ppl earned their seat in this game via a poker career even if they didnt post the whole buyin themselves. obv they have insights into the game that most ppl do not. most of this sounds like stack envy to me.
for the record im prob never folding quads there but the AQ hand is standard Hellmuth and not completely insane imo. -
This is pretty crazy:

Who knew you can fold quad eights face up in a $1M buy-in tournament? -

Edited By: wackyJaxon Jul 2nd, 2012 at 05:41 PM+1, chances of the other player there having aces is not great. The best part of this tournament to me is commenting from the sidelines to friends and on the boards, similar to a baseball game you might attend to watch.Originally Posted by SpankyHamm

Haven't seen anyone with stack envy in this thread, just people watching the event and commenting with the sideline responses that are appropriate. I think you are reading too much into what you think people are doing rather than what is really happening. It is an exciting event to watch and comment on, much like a sporting event. When I go to a football game and I see a bad play called by the coach, it is obviously talked about by the people I am with even though the coach obviously has more insight than me in general.Originally Posted by BlindPyro

It seems like he cant get a thing going with that broad rubbing his legs down... She is tilting the shit out of me... everytime camera is on him... there is her head and her eyes going from him to table to table to him....like anyone there really has anything to say to her... Sorry... had to vent....

But it is.

Good to see Jason "treysfull21" Mercier and Brian "tsarrast" Rast, two members of PocketFives, in the top two spots on the leaderboard with 21 left in the One Drop event right now.
Good to see treysfull21 play like an internet player and stack off with KK against the most obvious AA of all time. Was not worth the risk of a big stack. GG dude. -
Edited By: alun Jul 3rd, 2012 at 12:24 PMhows it the most obvious AA of all time, you wasnt at the table so how can you judge.Originally Posted by PokerProErik

@JasonMercier: Well I'm out... Had crazy dynamic vs Antonio n run KK into his AA button vs sb for a 22 million chiplead pot. The definition of#justbadluck -

Is it me or is Josh Arieh the biggest douche of all time ? David Einhorn, the billionaire who tried to buy the Mets in the offseason, pledged to donate all of his winnings to charity. Now keep in mind, he's at the final table, his donation could be $1.2M or $18.3M (or somewhere in between).

Arieh tweets something to the affect of "Let's all give the billionaire in the 9 seat a round of applause for donating .2% of his net worth to charity"---Obvious sarcasm.
First of all, does Arieh think that people receiving charity care where it comes from? Not to mention like I said above, the donation could be as much as $18,000,000 if he somehow ships this thing so who is Arieh to come out with a comment like that?
IMO he's just bitter because he used to be somewhat relevant in poker and no longer can even keep up with the game (by his own admission)...... Thoughts ?
P.S. Einhorn made a deep run in the 2006 main event and donated his 600k+ to charity that year as well. -
lol at above.
Looks like people made bad predictions itt! Not many favorits left... Was routing for Ivey for my part...

Just looked on twitter and i think he's miffed about the fact that einhorn is bragging he's going to be giving his winnings to charity, i still think the comment was a bit out of line mind.
