  1. Like most, I am starving for poker since BF... I decided to play my first circuit event ever in Hammond Indiana this coming weekend.... and now I must show my ignorance towards live play.

I have the option to play one of these two events (listed below). I was hoping people with experience playing these events in Bossier City and/or past circuit events could give me their opinion on the negatives and positives of each event:

    1) Event #2B: No Limit Hold'em Re-Entry

Official WSOP Circuit Ring Event; Counts in points standings. $345

    2) Mega Satellite (Non-Ring Event) $225

I am curious about #2...does anyone have experience playing these mega satties for circuit events? How many runners, how is the structure, how many are usually rewarded seats, etc?

My last question is, what do they mean by a "non-ring event"?

  2. Non ring means you can't win a ring I e bracelet fwiw... Def play the reentry imo. If you ship the mega you get wsop chips so you have to fit another event in your schedule or sell em off around the room...

I imagine the reentry is going to have a solid field in hammond tho

  3. Hammond tourneys all get huge.. and yeah maybe I just got a bunch of shitty table draws but the fields there def were tougher than the other stops I've been to in the past. Def worth taking a shot though, event 2 will probably have like 100k for first.
  4. i know horshoe southern indiana heres a link to there schedule of events http://www.horseshoe-indiana.com/ima...ctober2011.pdf this is for the southern indy wsop event might be worth a look gl

  5. most mega satellites usually only offer entries to a bigger buy-in tourney(main event, 1K, etc) and a small cash dividend. Ring events, and non ring events have payout structures simialr to most other tourneys (top 10-12% depending on field size). Re-entry is sure to have a larger field than the other 2 day tournamants as it will have two starting days and some folks who will rebuy(re-enter), plus the additon of a ring and fame attached thereto.

If you can only afford one, go for the one that pays cash...whether it is a ring event or not. If you are looking at starting dates, def the cash tourney as megas will have their winners entries sometimes several days later.
