I didn't have any money on full tilt and don't knwo the full story as I stopped paying attention/caring, I just don't understand why people would be upset at Ivey for this. Still baffles me.

It depends how involved ivey was. But I believe he wasnt involved in this. Also i dont believe phil ivey would put a lot of time in those buisness things. hes the face, an 'ahtlete' and just cashes the cheques every month. The same Nadal is dong now with pokerstars.

Yea I dont think it was a racial issue either. I think Ivey took more heat from the public because of his lawsuit against FTP regardless of if it was for the Former FTP player's interest or against it, I think this is why people were more upset with Ivey. I am not saying that is ok to do but I dont think it is because of his skin color.

i hope the authorities arrest his black ass while he's in vegas, use him as a pawn to roll over the rest of his crew. he was no doubt the face of the ponzi scheme and part owner of the company. ivey's ex-wife gets $180,000 a month in alimony, there no way that amount is based on grinding and endorsements. ivey deserves jail time. period.

He's suggesting Annie knew that people were cheating on UB by seeing other players' hole cards at the table. I'd take that with a grain of salt, given the past rocky relationship (very well known publicly) between Daniel and Annie. I'm loathe to defend anyone, given how often people turn out to be guilty, and I won't defend Annie either. I just think it's hard to know how Daniel would know something like that

Im not into the political side of poker when it comes to race or playing the race card. But obv the card was put into the deck just like the rest of them for a reason! Do i feel like they are pinning it on the "Black Guy" No i don't!!!! Do i feel like it's easier for the racist majority of poker players to blame the black guy? Without a doubt yes i do! And to be honest i have no problem with Daniel if he wants to be black. Im sure we all have friends who would rather be white or black. One of my best friends of 22 years is white and id kill a guy if they fucked with him, black or white. I am just as tired of racial issues as anyone else;But as long as we all shall live there will always be racist black and white!!!!! "I say to hell with them both"!!!!

daniel is a kid that never graduated highschool, his lack of education is apparent every time he opens his mouth. hes just humping iveys nuts and bashing annie (although she needs/deserves a bashing) hes an overrated 'tv character' who needs to think before he speaks. hes a child in mannerisms and in thought, not to mention hes nuttier than a canadian fruitcake stuffed with fruit, in canada. shut up daniel, your voice need not be heard

It doesnt matter what color the thief is. I just want whats owed. Whats so hard about that? His lawsuit shouldnt even be called a law suit. He fluffed his feathers up and then dropped it. Looks like a front to throw the DOJ off of his trail for a bit.

Negreanu will choose to say whatever will draw the biggest reaction and put his name all over poker forums, news sites, etc. He apparently feels he hasn't been relevant lately and needs some attention.
Right now he's probably in his little quilt tent he built in his bedroom floor, sitting inside it with a flashlight, laptop, and s'mors, giddy as a lil' schoolgirl as he got his P5's headline. -

Cause hes black?? Hes known to be THE BEST poker player in the world, that's what i hear at least one time every time i watch live poker on tv. Thats why! Saying it's his skin solor sounds like a weak attempt to defend him. Altho i also dont think ivey has anything to do with this i think that man has power! Maybe so much power that everybody just keep their mouth shut. Ever thought about that? Unlikely, but possible.

So obv you dislike him right? Honestly i don't even know the man to hug his nuts. I do enough nut huggin here with players i somewhat know! With that said im not here to make enemies, I just like for people to state facts and not emotions in these cases. This man or anyone else not involved are at risk and reps at stake! It's all going to come out sooner or later,so let's not assume anything until then. Horrible quotation in this article, if you watch the interview he clearly makes a joke when he says 'pin it on the black guy', he does not defend Ivey by saying he was the only one to make a stance but rather says that Ivey is just like the rest of the guys (Seidel, Juanda etc) but was the only person to make a public statement. This was his response when asked why people are going after Ivey specifically. His defence for Ivey is that Ivey knew nothing about te inner bussiness dealings and is therefor not guilty.
