The problem is the way Full Tilt is doing it. Rush doesn't need to be shoved down our throats. Last FTOPS the PLO8 and HORSE tourneys were both Rush with no non Rush events. Why do we have to play Rush and only Rush? If people want to play it, no problem. Just add it to schedule by creating a new tournament not changing one.

Interesting thoughts graps, thx for the share. I feel it is a game dedicated to a certain time we like to put in play as you explained.

Doc, I completely agree, add tourneys to FTOPS, don't change them. In these series I never want to play in Rush format and specially PLO8 and HORSE.. I don't get why FT do this.. -
They timed Rush Week to coincide with FTOPS this last time. Probably not the best idea. In that respect it was somewhat forced on us. I agree Rush should be a choice.

I agree that there are edges that can be gained. Just have to be willing to spend the time looking for them as they are not where you would traditionally look for them. Love the Caddyshack reference.

This year's FTOPS was "Rush" heavy because Full Tilt was trying to get more people involved with the Rush format. I believe we'll see far less Rush tournies in the future, as people continue to voice their opinion.

By either registering for it or not you not only have a choice but you also have a voice. If enough ppl dont reg it will go away.... right?

decamps, I ended up taking three or four of my better observations off the list...something I don't do a lot. But I was in your camp there.I agree that Full Tilt went overboard jamming Rush tournaments into the mini FTOPS. But that wasn't really the point of the thread that inspired me to write...it may have been the motivation, but the thread ended up with dozens of people who just jumped in to say they hated it, period. Thanks for reading, everyone.

Couple of points- It is possible to take notes in rush-just go to the hand replayer and click on the players name you want to take a note on. Also it is possible to watch a hand unfold- before folding hit the sit out button and you can finish watching the hand and take any notes you want then sit back in :)

thanks for the article Grapsfan, gotta say i liked playing with you on the PLO rush, it would be nice if you kept playing... Gl, great read as usual.

I also find that in most of the rush tournaments, for example MiniFTOPS PLO8, the blinds climb so fast if you dont catch a hand failry early your assed out. They should slow the levels down in those, maybe 8 mins per level, and it would be much more enjoyable i think
