Now you know what is meant by the advice "don't put all your eggs in one basket" means. All those kids who were advised to stay in school to have something to fall back on are screwed now. Sitting back while they take your last ounce of pride, property and wealth is disgusting to watch.

    I know most of you smart people already know this but the amount of stupid people around our world who turn a blind eye to all of this corruption is awful.
    It's sad when the biggest growing industry in the states is private prisons. What does that tell you about your future.

    Sure this was in the works for a while and did not start with Obama, but does he not have veto power for things like this? I'm always hearing about this veto power where he can kibosh laws at his will. If someone could explain this power to me and when it can be applied please do.

    Where are the online poker lobbyists through all of this. Fucking lobbyists are controlling your government at the moment. The online poker lobby should have plenty of dough to have stopped this. I love visiting Vegas and the states for the fantastic weather, golf and sports events but at the moment with TSA, the absurd laws which give lengthy prison sentences for small amounts of weed. I am thinking that vacations there are not worth the trouble.

    Its a sad day. I feel for you US players but know that this affects us all and it wont be long that we are out as well. Free Country my ass.

    I'm glad I stopped grinding a few years ago. Being unregulated where uncle sam doesn't get his share = shutdown. Did you guys not see this coming?

    Unfortunatley the PPA could not convince congress to legislate and regulate online gaming, specifically poker as a "game of skill". It's called bureaucracy. It's where we are, who we are and I don't see it ending anytime soon short of a revolution.

    This is only the tipping point for online poker players. I understand that it effects people's lives but how about this concept...Get off the couch and start using those "skills" in a meaningful and productive way, i.e., get a "real" full time job. Something that is "guaranteed" and doesn't ride your last $100 on a h/u or Sunday major where your odds of cashing in the top 10 ten are miniscule.

    On a more positive spin, the -ROI's can now actually not spew $$ for shoving with A8? It was suited?

    anyone in the US still logged on and able to play? I left my laptop logged on since yesterday morning, and as of April 16th 11:30am, I was able to play in a real cash game with no problem. So as soon as I close full tilt, or server restart, it will stop working for me right?

    As an American, I just want to play online poker...and though Tilt, pstars, Absolute, and UB are down and out (for now)...I can still play Doyle's and/or Cake Poker..right? And if so, is anyone worried about those sites losing US players anytime soon?
