1 TIME LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

-

Such riveting information : - /

-

You forget to mention the misdeals, and the people who only shuffle the deck twice, and the slow player who never remembers his turn. And of course the "home game pros" who are at that stage where they have no idea how little they actually know, and insist on lecturing the table on the correct plays.

I have a lot of respect for you Lee, but if I want to hang around with friends I'll break out the X-Box or play some pool or go for a hike. For poker, I'll pay to have professionals keep everything running smooth.

-

Cool story bro

-

Lee's really onto something with this article...he's talked about home games before, but not quite focusing on what makes them special. They're fun! It's a great way to spend a Friday or Saturday night, a few beers, some laughs, and competition amongst friends.

allin4flush is right that some games aren't run well. If you let yourself get hung up on things not being perfect, it's a bad scene. Have another beer. Relax.

I think WAY too many non-professionals lose sight of how fun the game is, trying to 16-table and pretend they're THIS close to being the next Shaun Deeb.

spoken like a true card room manager!!

I couldn't agree with you more. I used to have homegames and they were so much fun.. Casino poker is much more serious.. kind of like work. I met many great friends this way. So many of them still tell me they really miss playin poker in the garage at my house every tue and thursday.

This article pretty much sums up how I feel about home games. Love em. Good read.

-

Too true Lee.
