<p>If we are required to pay tax on earnings, hopefully they will also include a tax break for the many tournaments we invest in and DONT cash. I say leave it as is, they arent enforcing it anyway. </p>

<p>You are currently required to pay taxes on the earnings anyway. You do get to deduct entry fees that you don't cash in (losses). There are a lot of things the IRS doesn't enforce, but if you start depositing tens of thousands of dollars in poker winnings into your bank account without reporting it as incoming, you can bet the IRS will come a knocking.</p>
