Godd advice. Real concise, and poingant, to mispell some big words. I do wonder how we are actually start a bankroll. If I want to play a $50 buy in do I save up $1000 before I start to play? I understand that this post is for the regular, and or serious player, but I'll look at my income (from job, not poker) say okay after bills are paid I have $1000 to spend. I usually take $100-$200, and play with it. If I come out ahead I usually give my wife 10-20% of my profits and tuck the rest away, for my bankroll. My problem is the opposite of most peoples. I tend to spend my bank roll on household items/groceries, and such. It works out, but it seems as far as bank rolls go, it's almost taboo to actually spend any money. When and how much is it okay to spend your bank roll (assuming I actually do just that)? And if I spent hypothetically 1k$ of a 20k$, bank roll, could I justify taking 1k$ out of a non-bank roll account if times get tough?

Great post, especially the part where you point out that honesty with one's self is as fundamental in poker as it is in life. I just started FT's Poker Academy and my first lesson is to master my BR according to C. Ferguson's 0 to 10000 gameplan. I find the site pretty well made and was wondering if any other pocketfivers had gone through the different sessions that the FTPA proposes and if they found that it had improved their game.
