"Very few players are tricky enough in low-stakes games to risk getting a monster hand like AA or KK cracked, so youre unlikely to see a monster in this spot"........ I srsly hope ur joking.

-

you do this type play quite often graps? how about if hijack limps? or cutoff from late pos.?

ive seen at higher stakes as well the button limper, usually suited connectors, or q,10 or something, but your right, very weak play and should be exploited, but if they are bad enough players to button limp, a lot of times they are bad enough to call that raise, then you have to lead out with about 4x to take that down. (hopefully). But certainly +EV as you said, i hope you dont offend any brazilians :-}, nice article

you know you still have to play a hand like this after the flop..

so you bluff the flop with say a 2800 half pot.

he calls with nothing for the heck of it than bluffs you off the hand with a shove on the turn.

hence the post flop aspect might reduce your profitability on the play.

im not saying its necessarily bad but this is the main reason it is not so good against a bad player.

just saying. obviously some opponents are bluffable

You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

Great now instead of limp/reraising from EP every donk will be limpin the button! Thx Graps ;]

-

you are overthinking these wayyy too much. Solid ABC poker will destroy these game no need to bluff calling stations LOL

-

Problem is that lots of these donkeys just never raise. If they see a hand they want to play they will just call regardless of the holding.

If you think the button limpers range doesn't include big pairs and AJ-AK you are crazy.

-

i always thought the trick low stakes was to play your AA and watch some idiot push 97o and he wins with 97o

-

I don't think Graps was saying ALWAYS rereaise a limper on the button with 97o.

I think his point was that it's read dependent.

If you've seen this player limp-fold to a reraise a few times, then there's a good shot you can take down the pot without putting your stack at risk. If you see him limp-call a lot, this isn't the player to be doing it with. The advantage of a hand of one-gap middle cards is that it's unlikely to be dominated. It may be a better hand to do this with than something like Q-T. If he limps call and a Q hits the board, then something like KQ or QJ would definitely be in the range of a limp-call. If he does call and it's a dry flop with no overcards, a C-bet may mean something if he missed since you're the one that took the preflop lead.

I think the point of the article is to try and use your reading skills to expand your game rather than simply waiting for cards.

And I say that as someone that probably falls into the patient nit category.
