You're assuming that Lederer would actually pay . . . would have to "raise capital"

  14. Amazing.
  15. Wow. I was never a big fan of Ivey's - I respected him but wasn't much of a fan - until now. As stand up as stand up can be. I am jaw-droppingly impressed.
  16. In section 41 of the lawsuit Ivey claims that Tiltware did not notify him that the DOJ had told them they were engaging in conduct considered illegal. So one of the brightest poker minds and an investor and friend of all the other investors and owners of Full Tilt did not know that the deposits/cash-outs were illegal? Did he think that the payment processors that were frozen the first time were frozen for the hell of it?

would Lederer make him pay it off full or give him a break, ie only take 2.5 from ivey
  18. Why wasn't the players money held in a separate account? Considering the rake generated is larger than the GDP a ton of countries, it makes no sense why FTP would have to "raise capital in order to repay the players. FTPDoug has some explaining to do, imo.

  20. you do realize, ivey doesn't really care about other people's money, it obv sounds better if he says it. but he must have so much money tied on full tilt right now, that hes furious and wants his money asap.

In case it's unclear to anyone how banking works, a bank is only required to physically hold 10% of the money held with them, as opposed to a casino, which is required to hold enough to match every chip in play. Since full tilt was not regulated it's unlikely they would choose to match every dollar held with them, instead doing what banks do, giving bonuses and investing. And regardless of Phil Ivey motives, he's taking a stand for American players everywhere, more than any other pro has done.
