Yet another great law being written people... dont let any companies already operating in the US apply for licenses (FTP, stars, Bodog, Cake, UB/AP, etc), dont force any of them to regulate their software/employees to protect the users. I think I missed something but isn't that exactly what we have been fighting for for the past few years? Instead of protecting users from the existing companies, and giving us our rights as players back, the bill just allows new companies in the US to fire up new poker sites - unregulated mind you to compete for our shrinking dollars so they can pay taxes.

I want poker regulated as much as everybody - but just like every other aspect of american life, i want it regulated to protect the individual users, not regulated solely to protect big business and help them profit more. This is such a great system - where we allow the big businesses to keep lining the lawmakers pockets, so they can take advantage of individuals with inpunity. When will we REALLY stand up for ourselves?
