The river shove is pretty bad. It doesn't make any sense for hero to have an A in his hand so 10's through K's should be calling the river. Hero's best bet was to hope villain had mid pair that he beats or AK, AQ. If villain got there with AK or AQ i'd check river also to induce bluffs all day long since if he bets he's gonna lose all action to mid pairs that hero most likely has.

and i don't see how a full house is realistic, as smoothcalling on that flop with two pair or a set would be shockingly bad (noone folds a big ace or overpair on that board and there are 10-12 scare cards minimum on the turn that either kill you or kill the action... plus noone ever double barrels that board either with queen high or whatever)

so youre basically repping specifically 33. and again, not to be too negative, im an e-fan of bond and nath, but i actually think villain folded a worse hand pretty often too (56, 66, 77, 88 etc).

thought the first article was v good tho! <3

this successfully highlights the idea of adapting to situations and new/more information. WP i say.

I agree with the flames to this i'm afraid. If the Ace didnt come on the river what do u do? fold to a river bet? It seems as tho all streets had been called hoping for a scare card to come i.e. the ace. and the is -EV

And as for the shove when the ace comes, most good players like ppl ahve said, will be able o see that the hero is representing the scare card and call with ov pairs.

Its more of a lucky river that has to be shoved rather than a good play imo.

Hmm Min-raising early position with 10 10 - KK.. I simply refuse to believe someone is that bad. I've gotta agree with SEABEAST here. I'm guessing more specifically something like 77 or 88 (maybe 66, but doesn't necessarily matter).

I mean, if he had Queens on a low rainbow flop (with the only legit draws being all-too-obvious 1 card straights) do you really think he would be 3600 into 3900? Hmm that looks like a good flop for 10 10 - KK, I'd be trying to get some value (maybe a bet of 2800) as opposed to almost betting the pot and scaring donk draws off. I really think he had pocket 7s and due to this being one of the best possible flop for 7s, combined with the fear of 3 others in the pot, villain bet so harshly to protect his hand on this ideal flop. And looks like he gave up on the end (any hand calling him down either got there on the river or had him beat all the way). Hmm just a thought. Regardless, massive fan of Bond18 and loving all the articles here (pretty new to P5s). Cheers again
