Has anyone tried building a bankroll with this game? or one of the other micro nlhe cash games? I have put in roughly 5 hours of play multi tabling 6 tables at once and my bankroll is just breaking even so i do not have a whole lot of experience with it yet, but it seems like it might take me a life time to make any money at these games. is building up a bank roll at this level is worth the trouble. Part of me says if i cant beat the .01- .02 game no reason in going up to higher stakes, but i could be wrong .
I m planning to start investing 3 hours a day into grinding this game and before i get to wrapped up in it .. i just would like to know what type of profit a good player makes @ a level like this.. or does a good player just skip this level haha. -
If you want to start with a small bankroll, then .01/.02 can be appropriate. At this level you will definitely be seeing a pretty high variance (whether you are running good or bad). Someone like Chiren80 (pokerstars Team Online) plays like 20+ tables at a time between the stakes of .01/.02 and .50/1 and makes about 1BB/100 hands. Playing less tables could up your BB/100 hands rate to maybe between 5-10; you will just have to put in more time though.
Just remember, you can't win it all in a day. I would expect about 2 years before you start getting up in stakes a good amount (like 2/4, 3/6. 5/10). Hope this helps, and good luck to ya! -
they are crap to build a roll with. i deposited 100 . 2days later im at 230.. ive lost so much because of bankroll managment. now im focused.. grind double or nothings. 45man sng. 18man sng . 2.20 180 man. and the 9 max 6max sng.. also play the 36man sats for sun 1/4 million..easy money. the players are so awful so be ready for bad beats from 65o all ins lol... cash games i think start to get decent money making around 5 10 c for small bankroll. im on a mission like you to build a nice roll. its hard but fun when u see it climb. good luck

If you can afford it, I'd at least start at 2/5. 1/2 is just a disaster, raises, anything get zero respect b/c the stakes are so low. Can be good or bad I guess. But you'll see people calling all the way to the river with 2nd/3rd pair, gutters, etc. Not that this doesn't happen at other stakes, but here it's a common occurance. That's a huge time investment you are making to grind out a few bucks.
But everyone has to start somewhere and if you feel like the time commitment is worth it, then go for it, but I'd move up ASAP. -
We'll i do not mind depositing more . I just figured there would not be much of a difference in how folks played until .10 - .25 or so... 200 buy ins a sufficient Bankroll to start with for .02 -.05?

30 buy ins is enough if you have a clue on how to play.......I would suggest playing 6 max that's mostly where the money is at......use google and search for 6 max nl low stake strategy..........there are plenty of guides that will help you move to 50NL which is where you want to be......just keep following the 30 buy in rule and move up and remember, nothing fancy take people to value town and enjoy
also I would suggest not playing more then six tables so that you actually learn something and aren't just another bot
