  11. hell it cost him 20k.. they had same deal essentially with him getting 160k, only they were playing for 50k not 30k. well done.
  12. Karma. Good.
  13. I was on that Tanbai's table for 4 hours in the Million -- he was just awful, and kept donking out. Kept calling allins with Ace rag, and sucking out on big pairs. He push reraised with 23, and sucked out on AQ. He pushed with 53, ran into QQ, and flop came 355, turn 5. Really disgusting stuff, over and over again, and his awful record (-69% ROI, a whopping 8% ITM) just shows that that sort of play is consistent for him.

He's certainly fearless, which is about the only positive thing I can say about his play. He'll call off all his chips with A4 or QJ no problem, and push with any 2 cards. I guess that kind of crazy reckless pays off if you can stay lucky 50 hands in a row.

  15. Did you see that Blow Up with QJ? Couldnt hit a hand and got frustrated. Way to piss away a title and 30K.

    Aaron
  16. ill i can say is kanter deserved 2nd there, im sorry but to play for that amount of cash and to try to get an extra 7k out of a chip count is just greedy.
and the speel he tried to pull about how hes on P5's and leader of month and how he deserves more money is just a loser in all his glory.
holding out for 7k when u are up 173k cost him almost 45K
    karma love it

  17. lol @ karma

if he's better than the other guy he sure as hell better ask for more money, it's a sin not to. to say he "deserved second" because "to play for that amount of cash and to try to get an extra 7k out of a chip count is just greedy" is absolutely ridiculous.

  18. if your better than the other guy u shouldnt NEED to chop, u should be able to play it out and win it all.

  19. I'm not sure what table you were watching, but that's basically what happened. He felt he was a better player and wanted a sweeter deal in the chop because of that. When the other player refused, they played it out.

are you saying he should've never considered a deal?
  20. lol yeh theres no such thing as varience in poker.... esp HU. Get a clue about chops
  21. Great Run regardless Aaron.

I never understood why you guys (well some of you) even agree to a chop if as you said Aaron that you are +EV and the PLB leader and what not. Just because you are the better player doesnt mean your going to win this tourney.. Thats poker. In one single tourney anything can happen. You had a 2 to 1 chip lead.. Poof Gone 99 vs JJ. Does that make you less a player? Basically you cost yourself a good chunk of change and in the end you went out Matusow style. Anyway congrats and good run

    AF
  22. can't really blame him, he seemed to be playing well at the FT and he prolly felt the guy would cave to his demands, tho i thought coming down to 175k was pretty funny
  23. I didnt think I was asking for too much. I just tried to get what is fair. That is how I do everything, so this should be no different. No offense to him or his playing, but I felt like I should get a little extra.

    Aaron
  24. people named aaron >> other people

  25. I don't typically play HU matches for $110k. I doubt many of you do either... It doesn't matter how much better I am than someone; there is no way in hell I'd ever play them for that much money. We all have different theories on chops, but to say there's no reason to chop if you're plus EV against someone is just silly. You chop because you'd rather play HU for a lesser amount than $110k and are willing to give up some of the potential to lower the variance.

  26. as for variance wouldnt having a 2-1 chip count be the best time to agree to a chip chop? what more are u going to get really with the blinds so high, even maybe a 3-1 would only net maybe 10k more at the most since second place was offered i think it was 138k? thats only 20k more than second place paid. as variance in chip count/payout cant go down much lower.

so im sure his best chop was the 173k and play it out for 30k.

and my point was/is when u have/can secure 173k i just dont see how holding out for 7k is such a great move.

  27. He sure does overplay QJ a lot.......
  28. ty adam.... atleast someone has a clue
  29. lolz I was waiting for that clay ^
  30. ''and the speel he tried to pull about how hes on P5's and leader of month and how he deserves more money is just a loser in all his glory."

huh? guy has been murdering online tournaments lately. how is that not relevant to their chop discussion.
