  1. It's a new table with virtually no reads. I'm BB with around $250 in chips.

    Hijack ($175) calls $10
    Button ($300) calls $10
    SB ($300) calls $10
Hero BB ($250) dealt AcKd raise to $53
    Straddle Folds
    The rest call

    Pot $212
    Flop QcJc 7c

    SB checks

    Hero...?

Besides Hijack with $125 the rest we assume have around $250. What's my play here.
  2. Cont bet and call a shove. I played a bunch of 1/3 at Aria last week and was amazed at how often people would call massive three bets pre only to fold on the flop to a standard bet. I feel like they're mucking enough for it to be +EV, but any hand they might jam you have a ton of outs to.
  3. so u have a psb left?

    assuming 53x4 +10(folded straddle)?

I mean it's cash u can always reload :P Just jamski

  4. What makes the hand interesting to me is that I hold the ace of clubs. So most flush draw combinations are hard to find. I don't see anybody with a Kc10c or the like and I would think it's spewy to call 50 or so, given stack sizes, with any low suited connector. The real question is obviously check or shove.

...why would you ever check? it accomplishes literally nothing and allows people to check back and you miss...jsut get it in

  6. I did and I thought it was the right play. My table tried to berate me for overvaluing AK and I did second guess myself. I'm not used to live play so I thought I'd get a second opinion

Best part was I got called by Jd10s, and lost. The guy said he put me on AK and high fived the entire table for a great read. Although clearly I was ahead when the money went in.

  12. happily bet/calling here
  13. 1) very very easy shove with your stack
    2) don't second guess yourself because of what a live stl 1/3 player says
    3) live players ALWAYS know when you have AK, and will gladly and loudly tell you
