$10 BR to work with; want to build a roll
what do y'all advise? -
$.01-.02 HU NL if it exists.
-
yes, def need to run good - that much is a given
no to redeposit, otherwise the question would be $x BR...?
$1 DoNs?? -
hmm is this for a home game, casino or poker site? if a poker site does this site have a name. hypothetically if this poker site would be one called "pokerstars" i would say you should play the .25 cent turbo 90 mans till you hit 15ish then mix in some 1d 45-90mans. gl tho
-
Pokerstars, yes and ty! I've played those 25 cent 45 mans, and I can't stand them, lol. But I'm goin'a grind the $1 sngs, mainly the DoNs and maybe some of the 45s. Plus I'm going to use up the rest of my fpps on the 210fpp Sunday 250k sats...

All I can really do is hope to run good I guess. I know this is not an ideal "bankroll", but I just want to see if its possible to get back to my normal stakes without having to redeposit. Its been over 14 months since I last did. I've just had a REALLY bad month, combined with a little heavy on the withdrawls
Thanks for the advice and input peoples; appreciated -
My advice would be to only do it on thursday or friday nights. That way you have time to recover before the work week. Or have a good friend hide the crack pipe 5 days a week so the withdrawls arent so bad

I never understood why people even bother playing .1/.2 games. Serisouly I could walk around my house or anywhere and find loose change and make more then you. Why go through the tourture. If you wanan play for fun or to learn then thats fine but to make money cmon. If you really cant deposit at least 50$ you shouldn't be playing poker. I might sound harsh but its the truth.
-
Although I do appreciate the response to the thread, I think you are misunderstanding the idea and my query. I don't really want to play 2NL either, I'm used to playing 5k-8k hands/wk at 25NL, I've just had a REALLY bad month + had to cash out a chunk.

I'm probably going to have to redeposit, yes, but I just thought I'd take a shot at grinding it back first and wanted to get some opinions on what was the best route to try this feat. I will agree with one thing you said, it sure is torture! -
get a job, anyones time is worth more

hit and run in 5 cent 10 cent for 1 dollar get up. Register for sunday quarter million. Win it insta 25k bankroll. Grind 3 6 NL and grow from there.
-
this. play 4 2.25 MTTs and try luckboxing into a FT. maybe play 2x 4.40 180mans and a 1.10 satty into the sunday $11 quarter million on stars. it's $10 man, relax and have fun with it...no need to take it so serious.

i bet if u play relaxed and for fun, not worrying if u lose the $10 in a few MTTs, you will probably play a lot better, have tons more fun and wont be bummed when u lose the $10. -
deposit
-
It depends what you are playing for, if you are trying to grind out extra income then don't waste your time trying to build from 10 dollars, deposit on enough to be able to make it worth your time. If you just enjoy playing, don't care about using the money anytime soon and want a challenge building from 10 dollars like Ferguson did from nothing then i say go for it. If that's the idea just keep it simple use fergusons 5%/10% rule. Buy in for no more than 5% of your bankroll. If you ever have 10% or more of your bankroll at a given table then once the BB hits you leave the table. So basically start with 50 cents at a table and grind. It WILL take forever, but if it's for fun go for it. I turned $1 into like $800 one night in college. However I bought in for full bankroll every tourney or cash table I was at so it could have easily been gone.

there is a .10cent turbo MTT with 50$ ADDED on stars... def play those on top of what pokerchief suggested.

This. Although honestly if you're a $25 NL grinder and you've rocked your bankroll infinitely downwards to $10, maybe you shouldn't deposit anymore money lest it join the rest of your money in other people's accounts. Have some fun with your last tenner, get a job, save some money, deposit 500 when you can and get your ass back to work.

Thanks, appreciate the response. I did "rock" my br, and I'm sick about it. Bad run, variance and if I'm being honest, probably some just plain ol bad, spewy play. Not to mention played some hefty tourneys to try and recover (tisk tisk, not proper BR mgt)

I know I'm a decent player, as I have not had to deposit in over 14 mths. Now I'm down to $10 and want to give it a shot to try and work it back up somehow... I know its possible. I think it has just become so foreign to me to have to deposit because its been so long... I have the money IRL to put $500 back on, just leery about doing it before I make a concerted effort at working it back up the ol' fashion way.
The other thing is, I'm prob goin'a lose my GoldStar status... but oh well...
Anyways, thanks to everyone for the advice - Cheers -
I guess the title shoulda read "i have 10 dollars in my online bankroll, should i deposit"?
lmao. hate those threads where some guy says " i know i shoulda folded pre but now what do i do"? then he gets 80 worthless responses saying "you shoulda folded pre!!!!" jesus christ people can you read????
