Did a quick search, didn't turn up much.
My question is, what are the differences in play in DoN vs. three places paid structure for 10 man single table SnG?
I'm currently playing 1.00+.10 DoN on stars and want to get a decent sample size together so I can judge how I'm doing and if I should move away from the DoN to the 3 places paid structure. I'm working the DoN first because I think it offers me the best odds for building my bankroll and experience/confidence. I want to build my bankroll so I can move up in limits and also re-invest some of that cash into training. I find the 3 places paid structure appealing because the potential payouts are bigger, hence I'd be able to build my roll quicker and get some training time in with a coach. Yes, I'm aware I'll be saving for a while to get coaching on winnings from 1.00+.10, but I'm hoping over the winter I'll be able to bankroll build. -
Thanks. Is there a way to search the articles on the site, the search I used only checked the forums.
Makes sense, thanks. In terms of play within the formats should I expected changes from one to the other? I find the DoN a lot of people just sit and play not to go broke instead of playing correctly to win. In the 3 places paid structure is there less sitting around waiting for others to go broke as your going to need a good stack to make a run at the top place? Any other play differences between the formats? -

I played probably 800+ 1.10 Dons this month, my guess is that they are beatable for around 5-8% ROI. I would use them to learn to multi table and to clear VIP bonuses. Once you're ready to deal with a little more variance move to the regular SnGs, they're still very beatable despite the rake (I would play 18mans if i was playing SnGs)

PS: Always steal rs03rs03's blinds, if u played a 1.10 Don you played against him.
