10 tabling is so much better than anything below it. I was so surprised at how different it was from 6 or even 8 tabling. I was focused, making right decisions, and it created a snowball effect of skeetness.

Obv I was running good, but I still know that I played better thanks to the folding madness that ensued throughout. What's the sickest 10+ tabling session you've had? -
I dont think you can say you "played better" because you were more focused. Maybe you were, but 8 tabling to 10 tabling shouldnt be that big of a difference with 8 tables you are still in the folding madness. Yet with 10 you might make it to the final table of 4 at one time and struggle playing heads up to your full capabilities. I guess it works out for you seeing, you got little to no 2nds/3rds but I still dont agree with the "I play my best" when you 10-table. Nonetheless thats a sick ass run right there.
sturge -
I agree and disagree.
What I meant by "playing better" was that I wasn't "fucking around." and trying to steal pots early and get myself into trouble. Maybe it's my A.D.D. or something, but I always tend to do that when I'm bored. And i did that a lot while 6 tabling. However, 10 tabling does indeed eliminate reading people and stuff for a large part of it.
The best part about Session 2 was that I was never simultaneously heads up. Pretty weird eh? -
I also have ADD and I have found that if I distract myself in the correct way, I can consentrate better. I know it sounds weird. I used to work as a system developer, and while programming, I used to watch old sitcom episodes that I had already watched in the corner of my screen. This stopped my mind from going wild and thinking of a million other things.
I a simillar thing with poker. I listen to audio books. I still watch the tables and consentrate 100% on poker while in a hand, but when I get raggs, I try to figure out what I've missed from the book. People say that you should spend the dead time watching other players and see how they play, but this method helps me not thing about a million things at once, and I actually put down more notes when I play like this then I do when I dont. And insted of playing marginal hands when I'm bored, I consentrate on the story of the book. -
those are great results, but you need to realize that things wont always be that good. you will have bad sessions, you will hit variance now matter how good you are. Looks like you really made bank there, but you cant build up expectations of winning 3 of every 10, its just not going to happen. I do agree with what you're saying though about the whole 'attention' deal. When i multitable, i normally play 6, i find that i play just as good as i do when im only playing 1-2 tables. When im only playing one or two tales, i find myself doing other things, and not conentrating on the other players.. which is the whole point of playing less tables. I watch TV, talk to friends, do homework.. you know 1-2 tables dosent take much effort when you can do that while writing a paper, haha. but keep at it, id be interested to see some numbers once you have a larger sample size.. 20 is not much at allll. GL
just curious, what level are you playing at? 6.50? -
lol. I'm playing the 6.50's and let me tell you that I know about variance. I never doubted that I was running VERY WELL. I know thing's won't always be that way.
I'll be posting stats on my blog tonight after a few more sessions:
