  1. So this is a situation that came up the other day. I was sitting with deep stack in a $5 tourney on FT. Had almost 9k with blinds at 40/80. I was in the SB with QQ and it gets folded around to me. I make my standard raise and the villain in the BB shoves all in with his 10k stack. He had shoved previous times with very mediocre cards. I am not concerned with the results, I just wanted to know how people feel about investing this many BBs pre, even if you feel you are ahead.
  2. The short answer is no one is good enough to pass up that kind of edge. QQ is miles ahead of whatever he is shoving there. Call. Tournament life is waaaaay overated, especially this early. Try to get that big stack, if u lose, fire up the next one.
  3. You have queens? Two of them? Folding is horrible.
  4. Theres only 2 hands that beat you preflop, and if he has a history of shoving trash then I'm not sure what more you could want right now...Just a cooler if he shows KK/AA

  5. I'm guessing you ended up making the call like you should and he hit some junk to win.

That is what happened. I was just not sure if investing over 100bb this early was a good decision. Post flops with more information I would feel better about but I can see how it is the correct play.
