I have been in the mindset that you generally do not leave rebuys before the first break, but in a discussion with some other people they argue if the table is ultra hard then it makes sense to just not rebuy if you bust before the add-on period. Is this a view that other hold as well? I haven't played a $100R in a while, but I always assumed the table was going to be pretty rough for the most part. Is there logic in the argument if your table is stacked worse than normal than its better to just quit early rather than fight against a losing battle?

this is an awesome idea- and tell your friends the same thing- 1bullet ftw bc all tables are soso hard
-
If you consider leaving before the end of the rebuy period in any +R MTT, whether it's the $3+R or $215+R...you are not properly rolled for the tournament. That goes for not adding on as well.
And for the record I only occasionally play a $109+R... -
play early 100r. problem solved. Too early for majority of lazy west coasters and perfect time for spewy bazillians (and euros. after the last thread about euros being bad, we can't forget euros.)

was trying to post from Iphone and failed. What I wanted to post was that i seem to see a lot of regs bustout before the addon in various rebuys so it got me wondering when to call it quits in rebuys.
-
this has absolutely nothing to do with it
-
The only time I have left before rebuy period has ended has been either I f'd up and timed out for a rebuy or i just didn't feel like playing anymore and knew i wouldn't be playing my A game.
-
I think the point thats trying to be made is along the lines of if u bust like 2 mins before the rebuy period ends and u have say the top5 ranked players at ur 6max table who are all sitting with say 11k+ then it may be -ev to rebuy to a starting stack at this point.

its def not about bankroll, obv if ur not rolled dont play. -
i know a couple of people on ftp who have had the auto-rebuy button not work in the past month :x happened to me once.

THe player in question is me. 1 of my tables was a 6 max 100r with deeb directly behind me and another hs reg behind him. My stars 100r table I recognized everyone as being at least a top 200 PLBer. My edge at this table is pretty miniscule and at that point I would need to either hope to cooler someone, change tables. I just dont believe in taking margainal tournaments and throwing away equity like that.

Since you are properly rolled for the tournament, and a winning player, then your EV if you stay in the tournament is an unknown number > 0, based on your approximate or assumed ROI and how much you have invested in the tournament.
If you leave the tournament, your EV is an unknown number < 0. I don't understand why a winning player would conciously choose the -EV alternative, under really any circumstances.
If some random losing player enters a $100+R and encounters this situation, it's an entirely different ball game. If they have no positive expectation, then it would be correct to cut their losses at a table of strong players.
We'll leave the argument about whether or not they should have entered in the first place for another day... -
Exactly this...

Not to thread Hijack, but what if no one else at your table rebuys in the beginning, do you rebuy? This happened to me in the 10r mini ftops last weekend
