How bad am I?
We were the 2 deep stacks @ table. Called from hijack w/ position, table has been playing very passively. His flop bet felt weak(same size as preflop bet) so I raised w/my OSD. His smooth call suggested to me TPT/GK, JJ, 78 or my hand (QJ), floating w/ overs, or possibly sloplayd TTT,AA KK QQ or 9T, though less likely bcuz I hadn't seen him sloplay and would expect a reraise from these hands.
His weak lead on the turn was again small and fishy to me(1/3 pot), so again I raised. At this point I was trying to rep a set, 9T,or QQ, -maybe sloplayed AA KK(yeah right). When he again smooth called I felt it defined his range to TPT/GK or JJ only as I expect a reraise or push on the Turn if he has AA KK QQ TTT 9T and a fold from 78, QJ.
The check on the river was more weakness, and now I was sure he was eitherA) unwilling to commit the rest of his chips or B) trapping me. I liked A). The 2d didn't change anything, so I 3barreled repping a FH.
I went allin bcuz he had ~ $13 left-no point betting less and letting him talk himself into a call.... How often am I called down/does he have 2pr,set,FH? FWIW Villians VP$IP was 49% over 42 hands PFR 13% -
How about this- He has 78xx and is just praying for a miracle while he hits the call button.

I've recently found this to be a real leak in my game: firing 3 times to try and win a pot, and getting called by a calling station with something like 2nd pair.
Seems that you got lucky, just like I got lucky like 1 of 3 times, in that this guy doesn't seem to have a fat lot of anything. That shove on the river is so suspicious it's untrue, and I've read that kind of move as a bluff on occasion.
Just try not to do it too often at 10NL. You get too many idiots who think any pair will be good. -
Gotta say I am totally surprised he folded there. A donk lead on the turn after being check-raised on the flop pretty much always means he aint folding, so i would call and hope to make my straight on the river getting a pretty good price.
