  1. Full Tilt 90 person $5 SnG, five or six away from the money, I had been playing very tight for the past could of rounds. I picked up 1010 the hand before this one and shoved all in preflop when UTG raised 3xbb, I picked up the pot. Very next hand, I picked up 1010 again and strongly raised two limpers. One of them calls, flop comes rags (two hearts) so I push all in, the guy thought for a second and called. I couldn't believe that he called with KQ spades, then I got sick when his king hit the river. I asked him how he could make the call and he said that he was desperate for chips and another guy backed him up saying that he thought it was a pretty good call.

Is it me, or is that a terrible call? Now my question, could I have played this better? I have to shove this flop with an over pair right? In hindsight if I could have had a better read on him I could have checked the flop and raised all in if he bet, but I'm not even sure that would have worked. Thanks in advance for the advice.

  2. If you're gonna bet half your stack at this point anyways, I say you might as well shove here. That would also enable a nice little squeeze.

But as far as his call: I wouldn't make it. I probably wouldn't have even called the preflop bet.
  3. yeah that's a bad call, if he had the flush draw and 2 overcards then it'd pretty much be a coinflip after the flop, however he only had 2 overcards so he was drawing to 6 outs and was a 70/30 or so dog.
  4. You have to remember, some people will simply decide, once they've seen their cards, that they're playing the hand all in, REGARDLESS of how or when they get that way.

In general, I'd either raise a bit less preflop, leaving yourself more to push on the flop, or push pre. You played it kind of in the middle here.
