Is gonna be tough if i open n get flatted....
so what do u do? fold pre?

  2. I fold.....
but am the nittiest there is

  3. If you are going to raise, you should be raising all-in. I think some reasonable people might fold this, but I shove in this spot.

  4. It is close though, as I would fold A,10. I'm curious to see what others think.

  5. fold or shove imo
  6. shove or fold...theres is no 3x standard raise here....i prob fold...12BBs i shove
  7. muck em say uhhhhhhh

  8. Fold?...r u fuking serious?..pls keep waiting for aces when u have 14 BBs
  9. i insta fold, imo

  10. 9-handed it's a turbomuck. 7-handed is a little more on the fence. Def. shove or fold, but I'm not sure which one :/
  11. I fold. But this is a tough spot! More replies please!

  12. When i fold my AJ there it folds around to the BB who gets a walk, and when I shove AJ the BB has QQ and gg me. AJ is the only hand i don't misplay.
  13. Fold in that spot which I'm about 85% sure u did. GG
  14. fold and it isnt even close rly

  15. Golly, Jimmy, this is a tough one. If only you could see how the pros do it.
  16. FishOnTilt, I respect your game much more than I do my own, so I would like to ask you a few questions about this hand. At what stack size will you start shoving AJ in this spot? What hands would you need to shove with this sized stack? In what position would you shove this stack with AJ? Honestly, I read this post quickly and I thought that Pojai was in the hijack (2 off of the button), how much of a difference would that make?

  17. I rarely fold
  18. SCT, are you saying that you rarely fold in this spot or are you just joking around that you rarely fold in general. I'm actually trying to get better at poker for the first time in a while and I really would like to know what the top players do in this spot. Now that I think about it more, it does seem like too many chips to put in with AJ in this spot, but I still feel that it is close. Also, if it is close can you argue that it is a positive play for someone like me, but that it is a negative play for someone like SCT because he is better at finding +EV spots in which to put his chips in?

  19. Agree that it is a shove/fold situation. I see the issue as not just when to shove AJ from early with 14bb, but I would like to know what people think about how the other stack sizes play into this decision. Does the fact that there is only one relatively large stack make you less or more likely to shove here?

  21. 9 at a table i think this is an insta fold... with 7 seated its abit more marginal but i drop it here as well... id honestly much rather shove a larger range in a lp unopened spot with 13-9 bb then shove AJ off UTG + 1

  22.
  23. 10 bbs prolly, with 14 u have a ton more reraise fold equity than u do with 10 and reraise fold equity in future spots is the main thing i look at when deciding what to do in ep in spots like this with 11-15bbs . I think a huge leak alot of ppl have is shoving 13-15 bbs in ep with marginal hands when the risk vs reward rly isnt there imo,you can just wait and shove on button or co openers who have wide ranges with an even wider range and chip up even more. alot of ppl might argue against me to shove here but i think this is a leak tons of ppl have is shoving too early in marignal spots when they dont need to. im more comfortable with goin thru the blinds and shoving button or cutoff in spots like this. if i was in the hijack here i would either raise/call or shove.

edit: i think im shovin 7 handed, thought it was 9 handed. its alot closer 7 handed

    edit: nah im foldin

  24. agri with Calbandgreat
  25. snap fold
     1
  26. I think Fish makes a great point with regards to "preserving your reraise fold equity." Might be better to look for a spot to reshove than to shove out of the gate.
