15 minute sync breaks????

    wouldnt it be great if we could get 15 minute synced breaks across all the sites? One 15 minute break every 6 hours would be aweome imo! Thoughts?

    i always thought the idea of having a 10 minute break every 2 hours would be much better than a 5 minute break every hour

    That would probably be good for the regs who play all day, but bad for the casaul players who play a few tournaments, so I vote no. Even for the regs it would be pretty annoying to start your session and then an hour later have a 15 minute break.

    i feel like 15 minutes is a perfect amount of time to make some food or go grab a bite at drive through or something....what about every 12 hrs?

    keep in mind just because it's 'dinner time' in linderhurst, ny...does not mean it's dinner time in california, or england, or china....

    unless ur playing 12+ HRs you dont even experience the break. 5 minutes every hr or 10 minutes every 2hrs or 15 minutes every 3 hrs is perfect i think. i like 10 minutes every 2hrs. but maybe there could be some flexibility in the break schedule.

    Ape I play little volume, I play because I like the game not to make a living and I do not multitable anymore. I usually play a 26 or two of FTP at night. I would not like 15 min breaks. I really do not like the 5 min every hour. The 10 min every two hours does not sound that bad though.

    I like the 10 minutes every 2 hours, that would be nice. My biggest fear is, if this happened, the sites would start at different times, and that would ruin the entire synched concept. 15 min every 6 hours would be great for long grind sessions, but the fact is, most players aren't playing 10 hours of poker at a time. Heck, the synched breaks probably don't help the vast majority of players, so the fact that they all start at once is a pretty fair compromise.

    Still, 10 min would be enough time for me to run to the party store for a pop and chips and get back, where 5 min isn't enough.

    4 hr break every 2 days imo for that must need power nap during long sesh

    No but seriously a 15-20 min break every 4-6 hrs would be nice

    I think the 10 minute break every two hours would be great , but still like having the 5 minutes every hour as well to get a good stretch. Maybe add 5 minutes every two hours for a little extra.

    Excellent post imo. Thousands of people earn a living or work part-time on these sights, and these are the players the sights should make comfortable and provide fair work conditoins to.

    Presently the sites break 120 minutes per day. Changing 4 or 6 of them to 15 minute breaks only adds 40 to 60 minutes. So, you're only asking the sites to increase the breaks 33% to 50% to do a world of help for the players who give 12+ hours a day. Do it!!!!!

    2-4 extended (10-15 min) breaks every 24 hrs would be nice tho.
    As an incentive for the sites, maybe run some special hyperturbo mtt's or cash game promotions during those windows?

    agree.

    since this semi goes along with the topic: it would be nice if some tournies were regularly 2-day events and so on. as of now, the only time u see a 2 dayer is for big series tournaments

    What about on the hour 5mins, then 10mins, then 5mins then 10mins etc?
    Whether it could be made to work this way I dont know.
    Dont think the sites will be keen though, their losing precious time.

    The most tilting thing about the 5 minutes every hour thing is, as most things that tilt me in poker are, Full Tilt. For the love of god, stop all the damned tournaments at 55 past, not "all but the ones that started in the last 15 minutes." If you need the break, you can't reg for quite a few tournaments because then you can't do what you need to do while you're breaking on 11 tables and still being dealt cards on one.

    I like the five minutes every hour thing, but if they did like 1745-1800 and 2245-2300 server time synched breaks for ALL mtts, it would be pretty awesome. Timing the Papa John's delivery guy to show up at exactly 7:56 is much easier with a bigger window. You can have a cigarette AND wipe. You can actually cook something that isn't a Hot Pocket. You even have time to wash your hands.

    Even if it was just a 15-minute break twice on Sundays, it would be pretty cool.

    yeah i def agree with this... sometimes the break comes up and im like sigh, im good in the zone dont need a break...

    def cosign 10 min break every 2 hours.

    look this is ridiculous idea. 5 minute every hour is fine. take a break whenever you want. take an extra 5 its fine. ok, but maybe a good idea would be a 10 minute break after a tourney goes 4 hours. So if your deep in a tourney u get some more time. but no reason when blinds are small early. just take a break on your own.

    Def need a break every hour... get to playin to many tables I need that 5 min per hour to pack bong loads... dont take this away from me, and im sure people in marlboro country will be upset lol.. I like the idea of having 5 min break one hour, 10 the next, 5 min the next, 10 the next... or maybe even 5 min break every hour and 15 min every 3 hours so say at 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, 12am, 3am, 6am, 9am all have 15 min break while all other hours have 5 min breaks. Just pick a timezone and go with it, it would be the same as it is now except just an extra 10 min worth of break every 3 hrs... seems ideal to me but I def dont want to take away the hourly breaks
