I am up late and I stumbled on the '1994 WSOP' on ESPN classic....very funny...no 'lipstick' cameras....no rabbit cameras....poker players are smoking cigarettes at the poker table.....but the funniest thing was the winner of the 1994 WSOP was given a bonus of his 'weight in silver'......and the winner (Russ Hamilton) weighed 330 pounds !!!......the fattest guy in the WSOP won it all !! Harrah's should do the same thing in the current WSOP.......winner should get his weight in silver as a bonus......who would get the largest bonus ?
-
It was 1993.
My favorite part was the dude eating a goddamn chicken sandwhich or whatever as the final hands go down. Like, who could possibly eat at a time like that? Staring over those cards at a pile of $1M in cash, just chomping away. Haha. -
I think it was 1994 when 330 pound Russ Hamilton won...anyway.....the whole thing was rather funny...eating sandwiches and smokin' cigarettes and gettin' paid by how fat you are.......

Well I just finished watching and the marquee at the bottom of the screen said "1993 champion." Maybe they farked it up.

Russ definitely won the WSOP in 1994.

acecatcher26,
I have cox communications also. I think you have to have digital cable, but then from there all you need to do is call them up and tell them you want the "variety tier" (it's only $4.95 extra a month). Its got like 10 discovery channels, nick toons, nick gas, some other crappy channels, and GSN (Game Show Network; which High Stakes Poker is on).
I called them and told them I wanted it and they had it turned on in less than 5 minutes.
As far as ESPN Classic, I think that channel comes in the "Sports Tier" which is like $12 a month (i think).
Hope this helps.
also COX SUCKS -
Hey thanks short stack, I think I may just have to switch to dish to get both of them.

Any British members know when WPT season 4 is showing in the UK and what channel?
