I have been playing poker almost 2 years. First years i tried some live cash games with backer. I didnt won to much but it was ok for my life. Than i started grind online first couple months i hit enough and build my bankroll. Than went back to cash games but this times i tried 5-10Nl. First couple months i won enoguh and keep grinding online. I was ok about winnings. One day my good friend offered me to play ftp and played some miniftops . I hit 2 day event 4th and had almost 50k bankroll so i choose to play live events in cyprus ( where is onyl legal poker close to Turkey ) ang 10-25 Nl and 25-50Nl games. I run like a whore and went broke . 3 months before i dealed with my old backer and started with 1k bankroll to grind 2.20 180s and 4.40 180s . And now i can play most of the game online. If u r good enough and workin in your game u can do most of thing . Just need good run. Evrything possible.

Given the parameters you set (1k BR, 3k/month goal), there's obviously limitations as to what you can do and play. My recommendation is to be honest with yourself and know/learn what your strengths are, as well as what your weaknesses are. Are you better at Holdem or Omaha? If Holdem, are you better at Pot limit, NL or Limit? Go through this type of analysis to determine what your best at, and go for that. Also, keep in mind that some advised you to try cash games, MTTs, SNGs, etc. That may be their strength but it may not be yours. YOU need to figure out your strength and focus on it. Now is not the time to be experimenting with random games; being profitable at MTTs doesn't mean you'll be profitable at CGs and visa versa.
If you want to go the SNG route thats fine, keep in mind if your playing turbos they do finish faster but your going to see less hands than in a standard format. Just because a game finishes faster does not mean its more or equally profitable. In fact, often it means you'll encounter more swings, and thats not something you can afford on a small starting BR, so I don't recommend the SNG turbos. If you mix in some MTTs, I agree with earlier posts that KOs are a good starting point. The logic is that even if you don't cash the tournament, if you pop a couple guys along the way at least you get some of your buy in back, and that translates to a higher number of tournaments you can play with your BR.
Last point - you may not be able to control the cards, but you can control your game selection and environment. Be smart about game selection, don't get impatient and jump into MTTs that have been running for an hour or are not your specialty simply because you want to play something. If you want to do that then your not playing for profit, your playing for fun or other impulsive reason. Poker requires a lot of patience in and outside of the game. As for your environment, limit your distractions around you, don't play more tables than you can handle, and don't play when your tired/need a break.
I do agree with earlier responses that there's a good chance you'll go broke - I haven't checked your stats but unless your a very solid player or bink a nice score then keep in mind its a very real possibility and you should be prepared for that. GL -

keep your abi at 3-5 and what jlizard said, dont cash out after first month.....lotta great stuff at micro levels, i run a stable with 10 micro players and some of them do very well on a abi under 5 dollars.......some easily make 1-2k a month....
another reason i hardly come post or read this forum is cause marginally winning or losing player like yourself who cant do it gotta be a pos negative person -
