The structure on these things is awesome, 40bbs average at FT. Why do they take so long to fill?
-
Cause they take forever and the payout structure sucks.
-
agreed on taking a long time (although this isn't always a bad thing...). I think the big reason they take so long to fill is because they have to directly compete with the 2.20 180-mans, and people are just much more willing to play those since it's a bigger prize-pool and take less time to run.
I like how the 90-mans are a slower structure and actually have room to "play poker" in and not just be a good push/fold player, but nevertheless, people would rather go for a shot at more $$ in less time. -
I had started to play the 90's thinking it would be an easier way to get through the field, but came to realize real fast that you can finish a 180 man in about as much time with a much larger payout.
I suggest playing the 180's over the 90's all day. The 4.40-12 180's are pretty soft, but you have plenty of time to play good poker. I took second in a $12 turbo last night I tried. It isn't really any good poker going on, but if you get good cards and know how to play it right it can pay off. I wouldn't have it as one of my staples though. -
The turbo 180's are a crapshoot. Only play those if you have money to waste and just feel like trying to get lucky.
-
+2 theres a reason there are turbo 18 man grinders cause there beatable and very profitable not close to a crapshoot.

2.20 180's Pay more. And take less time. And fill up faster than 90 mans.. Gee which one are you going to play? And if I can win them anyone can..
